The best part of the game happens before the opening whistle. Even our students know it.

This was true the final 3 or 4 years under Beamer as well. Not exactly a new development

We got a lot more visibility in that trailer than we deserve tbh.

And I agree with your sentiment about the product on the field. Enter Sandman is actually embarrassing for Tech right now. We're a novelty. A carnival act. Once those few minutes are over, we're utterly forgettable. The best part of the game happens before the opening whistle. Even our students know it.

WVU and the state has been prepping for this for decades. We're already behind.

Yes, they are a blast, if you can fish for them! The lake was up close to 20 feet and probably dropped ten during the five day camping trip. The water was a weird greenish brown and smelled awful. 3000 acre watershed flows into this lake. I didn't see a single rise. In normal years you will see Bass chasing bait in inches of water and the bull bluegills waking over their beds. I did see some bluegill beds that had been built in gravel along the road where the water was up but had now receded to leave them high and dry. First year that I have not fished.

Simone at Current Culture is getting into the Reds on the flats around Poquoson.

Her batting average (.432), hits (73), home runs (31), slugging percentage (1.047), on-base percentage (.549), and OPS (1.596) all led the Hokies this season.

I'm not as conversant at how these numbers look in softball in general, but those are absolutely ABSURD numbers for baseball!

Especially since we played a big part in making Gameday what it is today!

The SEC has had an advantage- a significant one for decades. Back to Bear Bryant practicing with 200 players because academics didn't matter in Alabama. Warm weather, less than IVY priority for academics, a sports centric culture akin to English soccer hooligans- where soccer matches are life and death, High schools that are part of the complex- the football QB in mississippi high school is a legit celebrity, etc, etc, etc. Culture eats performance for breakfast. A conference in the south made up of largely public schools is the prime athlete factory. Been that way for decades and will never change. The TV money won't dry up. Why? More people will watch the Iron Bowl than game 7 of the world series. That's why.

This is realistic IMO. We have shown zero mental toughness the past 5 years. None. So a tough team with a good coach like Louisville is a loss. In case anyone has noticed, we don't beat Miami anymore. It was nice to beat them back in the day, those days are over. Again, we used to be mentally tougher than they were, and now we aren't mentally tougher than anyone. Shane is a better coach than Pry- thus... you will see him better prepared. I think Shane beats us easily.

Major suckage if we start 4-0 (probably be ranked) and lose to fucking Dave Doreen again. Seriously. He sucks. We should have destroyed them last time down there and of course their unknown true freshman QB that couldn't throw torched us for big plays.

Yep followed by a narrow 21-17 victory over an absolute shit ODU team and we are back baby....

Im still butthurt at the fucking coming to your city when we were actually good and TCU made the song and we didn't. Liberty will be in that song before we will. Fuck them.

No scenes where I'm running to YouTube to see again.

This... is not something that has ever occurred to me, outside of sports highlights lol

I'm not saying fire Sands. But why can't he fire Whit? Get an AD to build up that side of things for you. I don't know why everyone at VT needs a few years to realize a change should have been made, and then it's too late.

They also have to drive half-way around the stadium. That's a lot to remember in the chorography.

They'll incorporate it, but it'll be part of the Candy sizzle reel. It just means more to them

It would be an absolute crime if ESPN didn't incorporate video from "Enter Sandman" from the concert into promotional/game opener material.

And some nitwit will still write an article and claim that running down a hill (or some other idiocy) is a better entrance.

Womens pole vault and shot put postponed until tomorrow so that buttons up Hokie action for today.

That's a good take. It is a good show there is no doubt. But there isn't really any rewatchability about it in my opinion. No scenes where I'm running to YouTube to see again. Rogue One has lots of those scenes.
