Yeah, i get it , the $$$ means more, however the arrogance of the $ec will be their downfall, mark my words. It will dry up; there's not enough keep funneling into that conference. Top talent will eventually go elsewhere because of the $ec glut. All good things come to an end; all dynasties; all empires, the $ec is no exception.
I picked up on that and was happy that we even had a hat on the table!
Viktor Idhammar finished 4th in his heat to get one of the automatic qualifying spots for Friday's quarterfinals. Benjamin Reynolds and Roan Kelly won't advance.
Herenton finished 7th in his heat of the 400m and Kersulis finished 8th in his heat. Diaby had a DNF so no Hokies advancing.
Christian Jackson was 3rd in his 800m heat to advance to Friday and Nicholas Plant was 2nd in his heat to qualify. Dylan Decambre was 7th in his heat and won't advance.
Kahleje Tillmon was 3rd in his 200m heat to advance. Calvin Meyer does not advance.
Nicholas Kipchirchir had a DNF in the 10000m.
Mariana Pestana is in 12th in the hammer and moves on to Eugene.
Rough day for the mens pole vaulters. Only Benjamin Conacher moves on to Eugene with his 10th place standing. Maddox Hamm t-13, Jacob Rice 21 and Conner McClure NH.
Lindsey Butler was 2nd in her heat of the 1500m to move on to Saturday.
Caitlyn Bobb was 2nd in her 400m heat to move on to Saturday.
Womens 800m is under review, but if everything stays as is Star Price is in a qualifying spot but Lindsey Butler is not. Hopefully Butler is ok she was 15 seconds off pace, something happened in the 2nd lap.
Women are currently experiencing a weather delay.

The only thing about the conference that "just means more" is the revenue. Money drives it all and with an extra $30M, they can push $1M more into each Olympic sport than teams from other conferences. An extra million into a sport like softball means A LOT more
In D1, 120 teams.

Anyone buying the game knows why the song is there. And sometimes not needing to advertise is the best advertisement.

I suspect it's not all that many.
I can see that. If we lose that game, I'd say there is an excellent chance we are 0-2 and don't know how much more before the pitchforks come out. If people think it is bad now, just and see if we lose again to Vanderbilt.
Sad thing is, my first thought looking at the schedule is I hope we can go at least 2-2.
And it's not like the Athletic Department has any say in a trailer for a video game.
Given the past few years, just appearing in the trailer feels like a miracle.

I gotta think the buzz around the Metallica concert had something to do with this. I don't ever remember getting so many favorable kickoffs.
Vandy- hugely overrated and will win 4-5 games next year is a MUST win for Brent Pry at home. No exaggeration.
