I have no idea how Whit and Pry both have jobs.
I imagine a large part of it is because there would be a largely negative net benefit to anyone with appreciable power to speak up, saying something like "Hey, maybe we should really stop and think hard about if these two guys are really doing a good enough job to keep VT football & athletics relevant." Even in the context of college athletics, especially for revenue sports, being a cutthroat business, I think that would be received as someone yelling fire when they think there is no fire.
Lani White has transferred to Utah
Signed with USC-w
Committed to George Mason
Got to hope that was a coaches decision ...no bueno if we are losing battles to George Mason.
Seeing hints of a 6'1 shooter signing with WBB today but no official announcement yet
I don't have any inside sauces on this one. I am trusting the new coach's overhaul and the players we got from WV. I think everyone on staff knows this is a make or break year, so I read the OL coach going for a bunch of his old guys as a signal that he thinks that's the way forward for immediate improvement.
Committed to UCF today
To be fair, the group that he signed up for moved to VT.

Also forgot that Alonzo "TWEEDY ITS WHIP" Tweedy made the tackle to end the game.
Honest opinion?
Once we settle to where we are going to be with the tariffs. Right now, I don't trust that we are done, we're just in a lull until we go crazy again. Even today the president is threatening more tariffs on countries that don't agree to a deal within the next couple weeks. And as we have already seen, the second they get announced, the market bombs.
how long do you plan on staying out?
locking as the other has the traction
I don't know if that's true, but I will take your word for it. It would explain a lot of the mediocrity though.
You're not reading it wrong. He was a December signee, enrolled in January, and is transferring to VT after one semester at WVU.
Except with the looming House Settlement with the revenue sharing cap and NIL clearinghouse, the assumption is that we will see some leveling of the playing field somewhat. (Although I'm not convinced the clearing house will be as effective as they hoped.) If that happens, then all of that stuff will be back in play. The SEC and B1G schools will have excess revenue to spend on all of it, whereas VT and the like are going to have to scrounge for the $20.5M every year to fund revenue sharing.
It reminds me of when Homer went to clown college and the baggy clown pants fit him perfectly.

Crawford needs one of those GIANT hats to fit him like a normal hat.
French's impact on my football knowledge...I looked at Crawford's senior highlights and focused only on his feet
From what I understand, OL is one of the few places that WVU actually did pretty well. If we just replaced ours with theirs and everything else remained the same, we would have been a much better team last year.
Thank You- we have been awful at Power Success rate- so please bring that on.
It's such a great call, and yes, he did let the game breathe. My mom, who couldn't care less about sports, responded to me this morning that the video gave her goosebumps.
Not to be that guy to bring this up on Mike Patrick's tribute, but the current state of college athletics compared to 2011 makes me sick.
It's almost reached the point that I've fully given up on college sports. I just don't care any more.
I know you don't like 'advanced' stats, but two highlights that stood out to me:
- 26th in the country in Power Success Rate (% of plays converted with 2 yards or less to go)
- 14th in Points per Opportunity (Opportunity = inside the 40 yards; kinda like red zone conversion rate)
But I think the piece that stands out most to me is that it seems like he's able to convince every recruit that he is the only coach who can develop them. Beyond that:
- Moore has coached 17 all-conference linemen since 2015
- He has had 4 players drafted in the last 4 drafts
So help me if he goes to Vandy...
Hopefully we can get him a hat that fits.
Welcome aboard! We love beef.
Am I reading this wrong or did he enroll in January and transferred after spring practice?
He has four seasons of eligibility plus a redshirt season remaining and projects as an interior lineman at the collegiate level.
Not complaining either way, but think Moore recruited him vs actually coached him so far.

It annoys the hell out of me that these kids all have agents now. What agent is going to suggest that a player stay at the school that saw something in him to recruit him, develop him, etc. The agent will make more money if the player moves to a school with deeper pockets that can pay more each and every year. There needs to be restrictions like you suggest.
Side note, I don't buy current NFL player jerseys because I've been burned too many times with the player being traded or leave the team. I'm NEVER going to buy a VT jersey with a current player's name on it. Whoever does is just burning money.
