# | Mehul Sanghani re-appointed by Governor Spanberger to the VT Board of Visitors today I guess the Chesapeake one is only 4 miles from Cedar Road University (I'm a TCC alumnus, I get to make that joke)
I love what TSL has been doing with their podcasts lately. This combined with David Teel on every Wednesday has been so fun to listen to throughout the last few months.

I'm curious if anyone here has any insights as to who it was? To Fernley's point above, most folks with that level of worth and means, don't do things anonymously.
For someone to lay down $20MM large and not want to be known is pretty impressive.

So let's propose a new system.
I say follow the intention to pull football and basketball but go all the way. No half steps. Cut the entanglement. Let's stop pretending these are part of academics and treat them for what they are. businesses. Run them separately as a business with professional athletes, who by contract must seek a degree. not students who by contract must play a sport.
The rest of sports remain on university side, under Title IX and managed together as part of an academic institution.
Hey, some of us have real work to do and can't keep up with all the jokes going around :-).
