So given what we've seen since this was published (changes to the BoV, Sands retirement, etc), I'm guessing that Sands learned he was going to get pushed out (prior to the public announcement), and this was his middle finger/opportunity to share his honest thoughts without repercussions or blowback.
I really liked this interview.
Agreed. But it's cool. First time in 26 years
the best thing about a new daughter in law is that you can tell your dad jokes to some of that hasn't heard you tell them all before!
Hey the Newport News one is 'just' 7-8 miles from Christopher Newport and the Chesapeake one is 14 miles from ODU...ok that's not exactly 'college town ; fair enough lol.
Woof. Other teams buying starters. VT is buying backups.
Same!
Well I didn't have pitching a no hitter on my bingo card for this pitching crew.
How the actual fuck of fucks is USCe even getting votes much less ranked 25th with a 23-20 record???? That is maddening.
We offered in high school. She was also Tennessee volleyball player of the year two years running.
She didnt get much PT at Tennessee but hopefully VT can be a much better spot for her.
Have you ever had to design a product to support both logos without any of the team knowing you have two sets of logos and only one will be used based on the sale date. Im lucky I avoided that project cause id be scared shirtless if the CEO had to approve all final designs.
Yes, I never said Sanghani didnt have skills or didnt work hard or didnt deserve it. I said it was unclear if he could help VT reorganize based on his experience not that he couldn't help VT. I do not think any of those things because i don't know him. Attributing a specific skill due to the sale of a company is in my opinion very hard to do. Every company I have worked at (which is a lot names with all the buying and selling I've been a part of) has had vastly different qualities at the helm and throughout. The only thing I can think that they've all had in common was luck. Because I've seen companies with great ideas and great hardworking people fail. Heck I was at a platform/software as a service start up in 2004. Those terms didnt exist. Companies still talked about bandwidth in T3 lines. Cable modems weren't available everywhere, fios, infinity didn't exist and we designed an internet based data processing service (very niche data). It failed because no one wanted to trust sending their data put of their network and the bandwidth was huge. We didnt have funding to start building on premium which was in the road map. Now no one wants to store their own data (hyperbole i know). There is so many factors to building a company that its very hard to determine how it was done
Baseball pitched their 5th no hitter in history. Against radford. Hokies won 14-0

As some one that grew up in Northern WV I was surprised to learn so many VA residents didnt know that WV was north because thats why the state was created. It upset a lot of people when I referred to myself as a northern.
The fact I only knew about sweet tea because my dad grew up in the south just reinforces my thoughts that I am from the north.

Maybe in terms of being proven, but Latham (71) and Hurst (45) were both big time recruits, putting the women's roster at 7 players rated in top 100.
