I know I am the ultimate Iditarod and arctic nerd here, but when I read "Kuol Atak" I feel like this should be a native Alaskan village or a rocky outcropping on an Aleutian Island. I mean they have Adak and Attu and Kuol could be read as "cool".

He didn't get more time despite his production because even though he has good height, he's rail thin and gets abused defensively. Pretty much all his game is shooting 3s too so he's most productive when he's hot. But if the shot not there in a game, he doesn't really contribute much anywhere else. BUT, he's also VERY raw. To even be that productive from where he started was a good leap. He's a great kid for a team like us to take a chance on. If he were to make another leap like he did from pre-college to now, he could be a very good player.

I think this is correct. You don't redshirt Henson this year to then redshirt Bo the next. They'll be dialing in Seidel's nutrition all summer to help make the pull as easy as possible (going to be hard regardless).

Its a crazy knew world. You have UConn getting ready to offer one of their stars a bigger deal than being a Top 10 NBA pick to get him to come back. Saw reports of a proven Euro from the Euroleague getting $6-$7M offers.

Hopefully she avoids that mess. I know Caldwell thinks she has fixed it by firing the assistant coach that was undermining her but the pressure from the Tennessee fan base to win now and win often after how this season went could get ugly fast considering it will be 100% a new team. They wanted her fired but the AD decided to give her another year. Just not the environment I hope Mackie picks.

True, but I really, really, really and really wanted a road sweep. We need the big bats to show today as I expect their Sunday pitching to be tough. C'mon ladies, let's ruin their Sunday!

I have worked a number of startups and been on the otherside in M&A and sold my one company. I have never seen a consistent skill base and at least once (maybe twice) I saw pure dumb luck. So to be more clear, to me selling a company doesn't mean you have a specific skill. My skill was timing, i saw the market turning and cashed out. But my company didn't mske me money on the sale, the assets did.

The whole private equity ownership (at least partial) of Octo also means Octo had backing from people who buy and sell companies for a living which means its harder to attribute responsibility for the sale to IBM.

Yeah I figured you did. My reply was to both of you actually, not just your posts.

I disagree with your last sentence here though. Selling a company proves lots of skills in my opinion. I've sold a few and I regard myself as fairly clever but I've never sold anything for a billion dollars. To do that takes some serious skill. Maybe not "build an organization skill" but some serious skills. I'll just leave it at that unless you want me to elaborate.

and i upvoted you above to counter the downvotes. no need for those.

Having two daughters with trauma and both in need of IEPs I have dealt with a number of non-teaching staff and it amazes me that when I grew up there were less than 10 non-teachers in my school off 800-900 students. And the librarian sort if taught, just not full time. Their middle school which is only slightly bigger than my high-school has more councilors than my high school had administers. Now I am thankful these exist for my daughters because they need the help but there are still tons of staff that I don't know what they do, its very different than 25 years ago.

I don't think NJ as a state ever required masters degrees for public school teachers but many of the districts are certainly competitive enough to be that selective.

Bachelor's Degree and Praxis is minimum for certificate
