Dan Snyder - among other things- was a cheap bastard and spent the least he could on everything. He sat in a cherry wood skybox straight out of the ritz carlton while the stadium was crumbling and the media box had limited views of the field. He used the grounds crew from RFK on the cheap.
Harris should demand the Nats deal.... yeah DC owns the stadium, but he gets all of the parking, concessions, signage, etc. It's s very owner friendly-not city friendly deal

One option for more parking would be bulldozing the soccer complex next to it. That was the DC United academy/practice field but they moved the Academy to Loudoun FC. Do not believe DC United still practices there. It's still not enough so most likely they would need to build garages in addition to the stadium.

They're also limited in how much they can expand for a bigger stadium and more parking and things like that because of the golf course right there that is a historical landmark. That was another part of the reason they moved out of DC, Jack Kent Cook wanted to build a bigger stadium and couldn't. If they're reasonable about it, they can probably do it (the Vikings built US Bank stadium on the same site as the Metrodome)
They would also desperately need to improve driving access. Sure the metro is there but that part of 295 is not built for the sheer volume of people who drive through it right now. I can't imagine what it would be with 50,000+ people arriving/leaving at generally the same time

100% this. I had a very nice manager at my first job out of college that acted like she would help me get ahead, but looked to strong arm and nickel and dime me at every turn when negotiating salary. (I was being paid way below people with similar experience). Come to find out she was giving new hires with less experience, but a few years older up to 20k more than they asked for at the exact same time, most of them making 40-80% more than me. They were all one or two titles higher than me but several reported to me on projects. (She also hired a younger guy with less experience and no degree to make 25k more than I did).
Only you will have your best interests in mind no matter how nice your manager is or how many promises they make.

I still think that even if this gets through all the wickets, DC will have to sweeten the pot significantly to convince the ownership group. In this scenario, the team wouldn't own the stadium or parking and would not get the revenue for non-football events. That was a big issue with Fedex or whatever the new name is.
Guess we will see how it plays out. They have to make it a dome or retractable roof though to make ut year round use.

I know this is loser talk/hater talk- but let's see how good a coach Prime is when his son- a first round draft pick QB, and the best player in college leave after this year. His last 2 classes are 37th and 46th... I honestly see no correlation to Prime.. and lighting won't strike twice. If he can coach and proves that- great, but he will have to do it without a generational 2 way player and a first round QB.
