Congratulations!
Whatever you do, and this is the only time that I will ask this of someone in your position: please do not put out the fire that seems to be lit underneath this team.
Edited for emphasis.
As much as I'd love to just automatically count games against LOLUVa as wins, if we're going to use the word "officially" then we should go with, you know, the "official" count.
and if they finish the season 6-2 in the conference that'll likely be enough to win the division
Unless Florida wins out and doesn't reschedule their game with LSU -- Then Florida would be going to Atlanta

North Carolina
Arkansas
Colorado
Ohio State
No, we would only have 5 wins... need 6

The only revenge I want on Tennessee is a rematch in a couple years in Bristol again when we have enough opportunity to have our system humming. Even if we played now, I think that is a game we could win by 15.
Just realized mine is to long nooooo!
Tennessee already has a loss (to aTm), and their next game is against Bama, and if they finish the season 6-2 in the conference that'll likely be enough to win the division, earning yet another L to Bama. They won't be top-10 with 3 losses, no matter how "quality" they are.
I just think players should be allowed to celebrate however they want without criticism.
I think there's a difference between what should be allowed and what should be encouraged. I wouldn't try to discipline him or anything, but the problem I have with the bow-and-arrow and the ice-in-the-veins are that they are individual celebrations, not team celebrations.
Win this week and we're officially bowl eligible!!

WOOHOO congratulations on all the great happenings to offset getting nailed by a hurricane. Also, the meet and greet looks cool.
Questions for Fu:
Do you read TKP?
Are you registered?
What's your sn?
Are you a member of TKPC?
How do French's reviews stack up to the coaching staff's?
Cake or Pie?
Chipotle or dog food burritos Moe's?
Real questions:
What's been your favorite win thus far?
Favorite play? Progression of plays?
Favorite thing about being in Blacksburg?
Team that scares him most left on our schedule?
That's awesome. I won something from the trivia questions. But I haven't gotten it yet.
And this is one time where off the field issues will likely be taken into consideration. I think the committee wants to stay away from that toxic waste dump as much as possible.
man, I just want to sit back, take a second, and realize we actually have a great shot at the ACCCG during year 1 of the fuente era....
Side note, I think the ACC Champ with 1 top 10 loss and 3 top-25 wins with one of those wins being against a top-4 team should be a lock for the CFP.
I have a flag you can wear like a cape
Congrats! You should have him sign your baby.
Sure is amazing what our defense can do when they don't have to stay on the field the entire game.
There's something to be said for forcing a team to play from behind, particularly in the second half. If you know that the offense is feeling rushed to score, and is more than likely going to have to throw the ball to make plays, the way you play defense changes. The ability for the D line to pin their ears back and rush the QB can get the offense behind the sticks. This in turn allows the secondary to play a softer coverage and allows chances for the LB's to play some underneath coverage where they can jump routes and make plays.
If we run the table and win the ACC, we go to the playoff. At that point we'll have at a minimum 3 ranked wins on the year, all over teams in the Top 20 when we played, with a win in the ACC title game against a Top 5 Clemson or Louisville. Yes, we would be in.
But seriously, if you were setting up a better 2016 Redemption Tour, could it be falling into place any better than this year so far?
- Obliterate Boston College and shut out their offense, which is coached by the guy who ran our offense the last few years
- Humiliate the University of Eastern Carolina in all 3 phases of the game
- Destroy UNC on their home turf in their first home matchup against ranked opponents in like 5 years in front of maybe 5k people
- At Syracuse (Carrier Dome demons to be slayed)
- Miami on Thursday night (Miami in Lane at night demons to be slayed)
- at Pitt on Thursday night (Pitt is the ultimate demon to be slayed)
- at Duke (thorn in our side the last few years)
- GT at home (we could get Paul Johnson Fired on this one)
- at Notre Dame (Oh yeah, still pissed they got into the BCS over us in 2000, so screw them)
- at UVa (reward for a long, grueling season)
Thank you! I don't always know what to do with my hands when posing for photos, but I always know not to do that.
