I'm with your HokieAGR! We have not seen a post game talk like that in 10 years? What a rejuvenation in spirt and team work! The new "tude will be mentioned more than once again through out the year! Fu has come in and resuscitated the entire program, even Bud! Good lord he has help now! He was Socrates trying to find a fulcrum to support the world. Man he must be feeling his oats. They all are!

Years ago I used to go nuts at the TV (or at Lane) when we screwed up or made a good play. I then taught myself to let it go. We know the whole thing was at the bottom of the sine wave. I still temper my attitude during a game but find it hard now to not get to amped up; I find myself jumping again with a good/bad play! FU has gotten to me through the 0/1s! Imagine listening to him on a daily basis!

The guy is a beast on and off the field. Thank you Witt.

Ran the 5k at the local community college this morning; finished the race to "Enter Sandman" blasting on their radio station.

This week is going to be a good week.

As I recall when we played in 2000 in the dome they bottled Vick up for most of the game. He had one big run that sealed the win. You are thinking of 99 when we won 63-0 against the Orange for homecoming.

After you do, be sure to buy a tailgate pass for the Alumni Association tailgate on Dukes campus. It's right next to the stadium and beer and typical tailgate food are included. Nothing official has been said yet but last time Whit, Kevin Jones, the cheerleaders and the Hokie Bird all made an appearance and we're hearing that could be the case again.

VT had a 31 point differential over UNC. That's WAY above UNCs +9.4 win differential (40 pts more). I don't know how FPI actually calculates their averages, but the D held UNC to way below their average of 40 pts/game. Weather is an idiosyncratic factor that cannot be 100% correctly incorporated, but both teams played the same game, on the same field, in the same elements.

FPI is horribly flawed when there are games like the 4 played in RTP area, yesterday. Scoring was going to be low. FPI basically looks at average points scored, above the opponent's average. VT was barely above UNC's team average, so there is almost zero benefit to winning the game, in terms of FPI (VT's FPI score didn't change, from the prior week). FPI might be the best single statistic in predicting future performance, but to do it right you have to control the scores for major impacts like weather.
