As far as I've heard, he had this surgery to help fix the whole "standing on tiptoe all the time" issue that he's been dealing with. I saw him walking back to the dorms while I was on the way to class last week and he appeared to be walking fine while in the boot -- no limp or anything.

First time to UNC for a game, where's the best parking?
Excited to see us back in the rankings and hoping for a steady climb even higher. I remember when I was in college laughing at the schools that got excited about just being ranked. We have fallen a long way since then, but it's exciting to feel like our program is getting back to national relevance.
Here's my prediction for the next 4 games: beat UNC (I like our chances with Bud's game planning now paired with Fuentes game planning having an extra week to put together a game), beat Syracuse, beat Miami (still don't think they've shown anything impressive yet, and Thursday night in Lane if we're 5-1 will be amazing), then Pitt. Pitt is who I'm most concerned about. I don't wanna call that one.
More than anything I just hope we're past our M.O. of getting everyone's hopes up then laying a big ole goose egg. Even if we don't go on to win the NC and Heisman, it seems like we're getting back to the fun days of being a VT football fan. Go Hokies!

It actually depends Ill have to dig around to find the site again but someone did analysis and "heavy rain" (which was like more than half of an inch in 3 hours) favors the defense and running game. Light rain actually favors yhe offense though statistically speaking. The study attributed that to defenders struggling to change direction as easily. Lot easier to make a cut when you know when it's coming in light rain

It may not mean anything to you, but as far as national perception and recruiting, it can be a statement game.

This! This is what I hope to avoid over and over again: the Boise state and Stanford games... When we thought we were good but just got out coached, out toughed and out played. I obviously want a win this Saturday but win or lose I think this team will better afterwards. I did not feel the same after the Boise State game. I felt rather exposed for what we were: not a complete team.
