Man, I have a whole hierarchy of teams I root for. UH is one of those that, as long as it doesn't hurt Tech in a quantifiable way, I'll root for them pretty much any time they're not playing Rice.

Yeah, the timing is suspect. I have to wonder if there's not something internal that has him wanting to leave now. Nick's comments aren't focused on the timing of Barnett's departure. It's on the fact that he's departing at all. Same for Pollack's and Howard's comments.

quitting on your teammates half way through the season is pretty much the definition of jerk.
quit/transfer in the offseason? great, your choice on where and when to play ball next season. But if you sign up to play the season with a team, you stick it out with them.

I like some of his calls better in the ECU game. He transitions to that more gravely, rougher voice when something "exciting" happens, but his timing feels off. Like he'll start with a normal call, something exciting happens, and maybe a second or two later than it should he transitions.
Doesn't quite feel natural to me.
Man, I just can't get into his calls, it sounds so forced to me. Completely devoid of emotion, like it's just yelling because something happened. I miss Bill.
Would be great to start getting these top in state players, then get
some momentum. Players like this in the new offense could be
pretty exciting.
I am really, really digging Laaser. He reminds me a lot of how Paul Heyman used to call ECW matches. He has a great commentator voice for standard action, but for big plays his voice drops an octave and gets gravelly.
