CJF, reel in those recruits!
I believe I saw an article saying there was a loophole in the Juco system. It said if he went to a two-year institution and graduated with an associate's, then he'd technically be eligible to start playing week 5 next year when conference play begins.
Gamechanger if true.
I live in Orlando too! Couldn't be happier about this.
He will graduate from Juco. If he showed up to class or at least pretended to he will be able to get a 2 year degree this year.
Everyone is at the end of the day a free agent. Coaches can leave if they want.
He wants to play. He can go Juco get his 2 year degree and be playing this time next year.
Saban is upset that if his starter gets hurt his top backup will be gone.

Not football, it's Maryland. Ugliest school in the country combined with being the state school of the worst state in the country.

If he wants to leave let him leave. Why rake guys over the coals. Nothing could stop any coach at AL if they wanted to leave. If that's what he thinks is in his best interest. That's life look out for number one.
Mike and Mike were ripping Saban over his comments this morning as seen on in the video clip associated with the story. Greene brought up Saban's quitting on Miami mid season as something that gives Saban no right to call this kid a quitter. They went on longer than the minute and a half in the video clip.
It was mostly AP/Dual enrollment courses, so it was something like 4.0/4.5. But I think my guidance counselor did screw something up because he was fired not long after.
The kid is a redshirt freshman. What major is he in to allow him to graduate after two years? I don't know the kids situation academically, but that seems pretty fast. Did he enroll a semester early before his redshirt freshman year?
Danny Kanell had an interesting point. Kid leaves now, he has to sit a year, losing eligibility. If he stays, he could speed classes up and graduate this summer. He still has a shot at playing some this year, and can still transfer over the summer.
Crazy that we can have hype videos made from one game now. Not sure that was possible the last few years.
I'm not sure where you get that. It is a fact that schools make millions off of these kids. It's true that coaches and administrators get millions in salary, if not in a single year, then over multiple years. The coaches, administrators and schools can restrict kids from going to another school. Do they contribute to the revenue generation? Yes, but the fact remains that the only compensation to the kids that matters to the vast majority of them is playing time, that's a quasi audition for the pro leagues. If there was another path to teh pros, the vast majority of them would take it. Baseball is a classic example. The vast majority of kids who can go to the minors instead of to college, do so.
Now I want Laaser to say "BRAWWWWWK LLLLLLEEEEEESSSSNARRRRRR"
Me too. I think it's in my head because I don't want to leave the Dome feeling the same way I did after the B-ball game this year. At least they were nice people.
-I think they knew they shouldn't have won that game.
Bye week says he'll bring the charcoal to the tailgate then gets too hammered the night before and sleeps through the game.
Its amazing what 5 TD's a game practice will do to a guys confidence.
4.0/4.0? Dang. Some guidance counselor screwed up your HS transcript.
Wow. I've heard of parents hating their daughter's live in boyfriend, but selling the house right out from under you? That's cold. /s
According to you everyone involved other than the athletes are parasites and that just isn't an accurate depiction of the situation.
Average Ypg: F-150 (other teams yardage may vary).

Definitely a pleasant change, just pray it just the beginning of a long term tradition.
