Yeah, I considered the technicality but it just struck me as really funny. Because when you think Atlantic coast, you think Texas.
We'll just call it the Atlantic-Gulf Coast-Indiana Conference. AGCIC, for short.
Bronco Mendenhall thinks he used to coach at BYE.
I clicked and realize that we now have FIVE Top-100 4-stars over the next 3 classes.
-Both '17 commits, our lone '18 commit, and both twins in 2019 are all 4*
-Also kinda cool looking at the 2019 class and seeing #1 in the ACC and #1 in the nation haha
The Gulf of Mexico is technically a marginal sea of the Atlantic Ocean...so yea, close enough.
So I am surprised how many people embraced this today! Got me through my work day. Most of y'all got way more in depth than I did in my original post so I will get into it a bit more to be fair.
I grew up in Ridgeway, VA. Liked the small town life and really resisted the move to Richmond when I was 16. I got over it though. I started tech in 2004 as an engineering major and never finished. I was one of the Managers of Operations at Kings Dominion for a long time (I still work for them occasionally to help out). Actually if you go there to this day you will still here my voice all over the place because for some reason corporate decided they liked the way it sounded. I went back to Tech in 2011 to get my Hospitality and Tourism Management degree but never finished....The KD job kind of kept me away, and at the time it's what I wanted to do full time anyway. Things change and places change, though and now I work for Bobcat, and it's not so bad. My dad has a Masters and Doctorate from Tech and both of my brothers have graduated. I have a cousin there now and we pretty much bathe in Maroon and Orange.
End addendum.
Wait, is BYE code for wake forest? We're playing Wake again this year? WtF man.
Crust? Check
Gooey filling for crust? Check
Often features fruit or chocolate? Check
Cheesecake is a misnomer. Cheesecake is really pie.
Science.
The offense couldn't score against BYE, but the defense looked lights out.
I'm Blake DeChristopher's beard. Began growing sometime in the late 2000s. Gained sentience in 2010. Began posting on TKP in 2012. Talents include crumb-catching and intimidation.
I'm Jay, a Blacksburg native who (gasp) went to JMU for undergrad. My freshman year was the year of That Game We Don't Speak Of. Talk about awkward. . . Graduated from there in 2015, not sure about going back to school yet. You could call me a "creative type," if you had to put me in a box. I worked at JMU's radio station as the technical director for two years, and hosted a live music show there as well. After a few unhappy dead ends, I've decided I want to work in radio and have spent my free time sifting through old show recordings making a highlight reel of myself to send out. I also enjoy making people laugh, but I think most of you knew that one already.
Damnit shore I didn't know you lived up in Arlington now. We need to get a drink sometime, and talk about them mathsci days.
I can see Texas going independent before joining the ACC and agreeing to revenue sharing.
Hahaha great post.
This puts us at the #18 recruiting class in the nation per 247. Louisville is barely ahead at 17th, and UNC is 14th.
We actually have a better avg recruit rating than UNC, as they have one 4* and two 3*'s. This is all subject to change obviously, but Buzz grabbing what is potentially the best backcourt duo in the country for 2017 is somehow not even crazy news anymore.
You had me at Apocalypse.

I'm Andrew and graduated from VT in 2013 with a degree in biochemistry. Currently working with patent stuff. Got into VT football around 97 when my brother was going to tech. Live in Harrisonburg but am from the 757. I love everything Hokie related, cooking, photography, legos, and a good whiskey.
This is sooo awesome. I love the direction the basketball program is heading in. With the great recruits we are getting, it looks like Buzz is in for the long haul as well
To put this kind of signing in perspective, here's the top VT recruits since 2000 by rankings:

Just look at all the talent in the top 10-15 that Buzz has brought in just in the past couple of years. Talk about a program trending in the right direction!
Atlantic Coast Conference
Texas?

I'm Tyler. Originally from Winchester, but I grew up in Houston. Always been a Hokie fan, but had zero intention of going to Tech (Georgetown or W&M were the plan). Spent my 4 years at Tech studying political science (which is Spanish for drinking and Netflix) and doing HT things. Been in the Navy for about 2 years now.
I like the Skins, Texas Rangers, VfL Wolfsburg, Manchester United, Caps, and Rockets, which probably will combine to take 30 years off my life expectancy.
I like all booze, but prefer whisk(e)y and Virginia craft beers (Apocalypse is the best), enjoy guns, casual saltwater fishing, playing pickup sports, fantasy football, reading case law, and live tweeting the debates.

# | Teel Time, ACC Athletic Directors to vote on 8 or 9 game conference schedule Friday. Wes Durham was on the radio today saying that once the Big 12 fully disintegrates (sooner than later) Texas and ND would join the ACC. Texas would bring in a TON of money, so that might sweeten the pot for ND.
Wait. We can call cheesecakes pies? This may change my entire way of life....
