For years I watched videos of Foster at halftime and wished that he could do that for the whole team. I loved Frank, but he was Charlie Brown in the locker room. CJF has the con, and my original wish is now true

a.) If the ACC could get away with geography as a divisional breakdown, they would have. The problem is that the schools align primarily on a North/South axis, and the ACC territory expanded northward greatly with all of the expansion of this millennium. So, the logical north/south divisions would lead to Old Big East vs. Old ACC. No one wants that. (The other problem is the cluster of 4 NC schools. You have six schools north of NC, and only 4 south of it. There's no easy way to create a geographical divide without pissing at least two of them off.)

b.) Taking UVA, GT, and Miami away from us on a yearly basis, but leaving Pitt and BC? No thanks. If you're realigning divisions while cutting out permanent crossovers, then you have to keep the natural rivals together.

French, as a novice trying to understand the nuances of the play, your analysis is FANTASTICLY helpful.
However, I do find it hard to follow the details when you refer to a player doing something and I have to watch the play numerous types to figger out which player is which. The jersey numbers of the so-called "skill players" (a term that falsely suggests the "big uglies" have no skills) line up are quick to be recognized. However, the new guys and the linemen are less well known and obvious to me. Could you give the jersey number the first time you identify a player in each of your reviews?
Thanks again for all you put into these stories.

I dig that your picture is of two rails. They'll get after ya.

A couple Hokie friends of mine are getting married the weekend of our Thursday night game against Miami. The thought process is that there isn't a game, so it's all good. I don't know if they're OK with having their anniversary on game day, or if neither of them are terribly optimistic about the chances of this marriage, but whatevs.

ACC North: VT, Louisville, ND, Pitt, BC, Syracuse, UNC, Duke
ACC South: Texas, FSU, Clemson, NCstate, WF, GT, Miami, LoLUVA

I could see a world where this could work with 8+2. This would put the ACC above the SEC and would be game over for the B1G. That is one hellova conference. Would geographically make sense and just in case OU has to come with Texas you could kick BC out and move GT or WF to the north to make room. No more cross division rivals. Play every team in the conference at least once every 4 years. just my opinion.

Hey hey shout out to Madison! I'll hopefully be there next week, but also living near Winchester I'm not looking forward to all this rain at all

I feel so dead inside. Usually I can't sit still about the coming weekend because I get to watch my Hokies. But this weekend...just another weekend. I'm still going to binge watch, but I'll also get a few more hours of Destiny in.

I recall (vaguely) talking to you guys about that last year at the OSU game. It sounds like a helluva time. Don't be surprised if me and Hagy show up one year with three cases of Yuengling.
