That boggles the mind, really.
Well put. You get a glimpse at what drives him in those speeches. He's not just a wallflower on the sideline, he's out for blood. He wants VT to rise again. Look at the VT tweets lately. "bring the tradition back". He's on a warpath internally but laser focused on the little things the team needs to do to get there. He's talking with emotion but saying things like, one play, one game, 1-0, and you control everything.
I'm still being realistic about this season, but the future is bright.
You know they don't have the same QB as they did then right??
Got a phone call the other day asking for money and telling me that they are trying to up the student body to 50,000. Bold moves are happening in blacksburg.
This is the kind of stuff I wish they'd had when I was at Pamplin.

We can beat Petrino. That would be one hell of a matchup if it was VT vs Louisville. We crushed their QB in the Gator Bowl the last time we played.
The fact that we planted their QB almost 10 years ago bears no relevance on how good this Petrino team is. I expect Louisville to go out and boat race everyone left on their schedule but Houston and Clemson, and I expect them to win those games too.
He was also a backup and pocket passer.

I'm gonna say that I hated the series before we started losing. I used to switch out ECU in all my NCAA dynasty's for another opponent because I thought the series was stupid. I griped to my cousin year after year after year about us playing ECU forever. My thoughts are pretty much exactly what VPIhokieME said above, variety is the spice of life.
I bought tickets from UNC the day they put single game tickets on sale at the advice of a UNC grad coworker and I'm up in 211. I learned my lesson on this one. Jeez. Last time I trust someone with a fake diploma.

Coach Beamer used to play 1 vs 1s and Stinespring used to change the play after Bud called his defense out haha. This was a weekly period and sometimes multiple periods a week.
I am sure Fuente practices his 1s vs his 1s as well. Creates competition all over the team.

# | Six day hold for VT at UNC...but guessing the game time anyway. Got my tickets the day they went on sale from UNC. Now I just need to know whether I have to leave after work on Friday or if I can leave Saturday morning.
