The best one that was caught, yeah. A few others have bounced off hands.
Yeah but in 2011 we had essentially a great offense except for those two games. I don't truly think you can blame our O completely as a system failure that year. We sputtered against Clemson for sure, but that year outside of that game our O was very good against the oppositions weplayed.
Yes but I hate Petrino....
Hmmm...

It's his thinking hat...duh!
I think we win, QB play. Evans isn't playing lights out, but he's close, three games in. Combine his accuracy in the air with his playmaking ability with his feet and UNC is going to have major problems with out offense. Worst case our defense vs their offense is a wash, our offense should be better than their defense.
What the heck is the point of wearing that hat without the drinks!
But you mind find a gum wrapper or a Lego, and maybe a penny or two.
Yeah, I realized that I'm closer to UNC, Duke, and ECU than VT. Plus the obvious being closer to Hoo-ville and ODU.
I don't know why I haven't been to any away games.
This is the kind of shit that drives me crazy when the CPU pulls it on me in Madden and when I try it becomes the easiest pick the CPU has.
I want Louisville to destroy Clemson like they did FSU. I want to see Dabo screaming at his assistants, pulling his hair out and just not having a good day. Clemson is the Atlantic version of Miami, they just think they are better than everybody else.

Fuente is imbuing this program with his stone cold killer personality.
Thing is, behind the scenes, as we saw in the pregame speech for ECU, this man has a fire and a passion that I'm not sure the football program has really ever had. That's not a knock on Frank, as he was the perfect man for the job and he brought us to exactly where we needed to be. You watch that video and Fuente has his sights set on the big prize, and he wants it. Not in a put up an empty trophy case and give lip service to the fans that we're going to have it, no, I'm talking preaching every day and making the team and recruits believe that their destiny is to have it, they just have to prove it.
Seriously though, between Buzz and Fuente, we have motivation is spades right now in Merryman.
I'm ok with Bud Foster getting some more donuts too.
Might not be the same offense, but there has to be a benefit to scrimmaging and practicing against an offense that does hurry the ball up and does spread you out, if only to get players used to it and conditioned for it. I don't see any way we're not better off this year than we were in the past defensively based on what they see everyday from our own offense in practice. It has to pay off, at least a little.
How did I not see that block until now?
Look for Kendall Fuller to see playing time for Washington:

I had this startling geographic epiphany recently when I figured out that Chapel Hill is actually a quicker trip for me than driving to Blacksburg. So I think I will go ahead and attend this game if it is not at Noon. Don't really feel like staying down there, so heres hoping for a 3:30 so we can get some more road fun in this year.
Hot damn.
ok, first of all

ECU shirt in the family section behind our bench... Something doesn't feel right about that
And that moment when you realize you just wasted away a Saturday afternoon...

Not quite. ABC and ESPN2 are both in play for the noon time slot.
All of the channels are still in play for the 3:30 timeslot. The Iowa State/Oklahoma State shows ABC/ESPN2/ESPNU as options, while the two Big Ten games list ABC/ESPN/ESPN2. So we know that ISU/OSU will not be on ESPN. I think the mothership is keeping that available in case one of the ACC games turns out to be a stinker that needs to be buried on ESPNU (most likely ND/NC State).
If we somehow get the primetime slot, I think it'll most likely be on ESPN2. Texas Tech/K-State has the ESPN2/ESPNU option, and I would lean more towards ESPNU. The Michigan game looks like it's ABC's game to lose. Of course, the SEC already has ESPN.
If FSU/Miami gets primetime, it could take the ABC slot (assuming both teams win next week) and bump Michigan to ESPN2. But, if one or both teams lose next week, it could easily get pushed to ESPN 2 or ESPNU, although I think even with slightly down teams, it's still a better draw than TTU/KSU.
Compare that to the red-faced temper tantrum Butch Jones threw on the sideline at Bristol. Then compare the poise VT has shown series to series this season (outside of Fumbleocalypse) vs Tennessee's streaky nature.

100%. That and I think that Fuente is just a special coach. Might be jumping the gun, but thoroughly impressed with what he says and how he goes about his business. The little things. The nuances. This dude isn't just a football coach he's a very smart. I think Bud saw a lot with the offense and mentality. And also think he saw a rising star. I keep thinking back to the look on his face against TN and how he showed no emotion. I think some people were upset and I was confused, but now I get it. He was setting an example. Gotta stay even keeled. Dude is legit.
Their performance in the ACCCG was above their averages. They had a monster 3rd quarter, while our offense began the 3rd quarter with three 3-and-outs that netted 7, 3 and 3 yards respectively. Only one of the drives took more than a minute off the game clock. Bud had no time between series to adjust, and Clemson took advantage by putting up 210 yards and 21 points in the quarter.
If the offense responds in that quarter, it's a different ballgame.
