OPERATION: I CAN SAY WHATEVER I WANT BECAUSE I HAVE ALL THE LEGS...ACTIVATE!!!
You mean he didn't think it was a preseason game? /s
I've seen position groups do warm up together, and maybe the entire O/D do it together, but not sure about the entire team. Then again, I always was pretty drunk in the stands.
Like most years it's in the realm of possibility, but it's way too early to predict.
UNC, Pitt, and Miami are all looking decent so far.
That's what's really exciting, this team still has so much room to improve.
I am truly sorry about that.
That is the very reason I stopped posting so much.
I will go back into lurking again. See if I can get him to leave me alone.
Good article but I for one do not like playing them basically ten years in a row (besides the one year hiatus) and another 10 years in the future. I look to our out-of-conference schedule as a chance to play new teams and test our team. I also felt this has been a lose lose situation for VT. If we win, we are supposed to, if we lose then the fan base is in an uproar. I for one like to travel to see new campuses and see how we can improve our own tailgate situation. To me it is just like playing BC every year. I don't like it. JMO
And how nice is it that Tech has now won three games in a row at home! That is more wins total than they have managed for the last two years!
The defender really has his ear to the ground.
Hype videos, a dangerous offense, votes for polls, film analysis, and an inspiring speech. TKP should become the official sponsor for Viagra because it will keep you up all day long!
Have to use photoshop. I don't know that we have enough cardboard for the neck section to make a real Dinich cutout.
That AD is going to have the money problem with firing Johnson. After every successful year, the old AD would extend Johnson's fully guaranteed contract. They are going to stuck paying Johnson 3 mil a year to not coach and have to hire somebody new. Something they have been doing with basketball for a while.
I like the fact that the "first string" is able to come in and score.
They've done it after every home game so far - but they were all also wins.
dude just bought himself 3 more years with that one
One word:
FAM!
So much this. Fuente just gets it.
No state is locked down by any school, in just top 10 playersin 2015, Bama, ND and Oregon got commitments. In top 15 players add TCU, ASU and Oklahoma State. Top 25 play Rd Stanford, Texas AM, UGA, Ole Miss and Neb. All those schools went into Louisiana and walked out with at least one commitment.

Every school I listed took players out of Louisiana.
I think I pegged us for 7-8 wins before the season, and I would say that I expect 8-9 now, so a change in expectations yes, albeit a small one. I really don't know how much we know about the team. Yes, the offense is significantly improved and we have terrific talent on the outside and in the backfield. And the defense has made more plays than I thought, but has also given up a few that make you pause.
As with most teams at this point (short of a team like Ole Miss that has played a gaunlet in its first 4), I think it's hard to get a true read. VT hasn't played a true road game and has yet to play in a close game in the 4th quarter. The back-to-back trips to UNC and Syracuse will tell a lot. Will the team be ready to play in two opposing stadiums (even with so-so fan support) in back to back weeks, including one longer flight? My answer is yes; short of the ball security issues at Tennessee, VT has been ready for what it has seen. But the competition will stiffen as the team enters conference play.
Glorious.

To be honest, how many of us would have made a different choice than Tom O'Brien did? He asked Russell to be there for when the football team actually was practicing together.
I know I would have made the same choice.
Yea, he's solid now.

Only if they hire Loeffler for 3 years first.
