I imagine Florida State's DC position will open if they don't improve on that side of the ball soon.
Rhetorical question, not literal. And I should have said any more, or better perhaps phrased it "why do we even play them if it's a given that we will lose?"
Even though it was said in sarcasm this is probably 100% true, WMU 4-0 with wins over two B10 teams.
I would prefer to play interesting new teams from all over the country instead of being stuck with the same-ol'-same-ol' year in and year out.
So what if we could swing a similar deal with aTm? Get the corps rivalry going and do it every year. Still boring?

# | Ask TKP: A Quarter of the way through the 2016 season, have your expectations changed? OSU's efficiency numbers are quite good:

2nd in efficiency this year, 86th in explosiveness. They were 10th in efficiency last year, 73rd last year. The idea is that good teams aren't going to give up 40 yard plays and you're going to have to string together 10-play drives.

The ACC lets teams pick their own conference schedule?
The USMC connection explains Mook's approach to his position:
Always attack.
Dear Mitch Trubisky.....

Don't think it's too hot, the AD is retiring in the next two years and appears to have no desire in another head coaching search.
I can guarantee they won't lose to every FBS team in North Carolina...they don't play Duke and App State, so there's that at least.
Add Dave Doeren NC State to this list. If they lose to Wake this weekend he'll probably end up getting canned. Looking at their remaining games they'll probably miss a bowl no matter what.
Only the biggest Homer thinks we are there yet. You're only as good as you play each week. What you said above is that we will lose to Pitt because we always lose to Pitt and in a stupid manner. I know what you meant, but if that were true, why play anymore games with them? Though it's still early and a good many of his players are still here, a Beamer prepared team will not be taking the field that day we do play. What happens with Pitt happens this year, not last, not next year either. In the meantime, we have skUNCk to play next. Fundamentals and teaching moments aside, that's the opponent we need to concentrate on.
we have flipping awesome players

When Auburn was rolling with Cam and Nick Marshall, the same could be said. UT and Ol Miss when they've played well do the same. When they don't play well, it's as much about their execution (e.g., Dobbs is incredibly streaky in the passing game for UT) as anything.
Dadi consistently beat his man, and was consistently out of position to make plays. Here's how I imagined that happened.
1. Dadi got a lot of press, so
2. Every OL coach looked at a lot of Dadi film.
3. When OL go strength-on-strength with Dadi they look silly, but
4. Dadi's kryptonite is that he believes he can beat every OL on both sides at the SAME TIME -- he's so much better than you, he can attack your outside shoulder and still beat you inside. So
5. Every OL coach tells his OL, "Dadi is going to beat you. That's OK. Make sure he beats you to the wrong side."
I don't think I can ever respect Ron Cherry as a ref after this..
I mentioned this very thing to Mrs. GoKart on Saturday. It is a good feeling to have.
Cam Phillips is upfront about not putting forth enough effort and finds a new gear and busts his ass to make up for it.
and didn't we trounce Furman and Purdue in back to back weeks last year too?

# | Ask TKP: A Quarter of the way through the 2016 season, have your expectations changed? It's going to take more than two good games before I start believing things have changed. After all people were flying the Mission Accomplished banner on Loeffler after the Ohio State game.

Well done on that question...
