We've got two separate monkeys off our back the last two weeks; one beating the piss out of LOLeffler and this weeks dismantling of an ECU team that has had our number the last few years. I like where this is going and hope Fuente shows the highlight of the OT TD catch from UNC game that was actually a drop.
D. Hall done for the year with ACL tear.
With the clock, I don't think I have an issue so much with how it happened in that game, but with the rule in general. And it's probably just me. I think it's the clock stopping for the first down that compounded the issue. If it was the NFL, it would never have mattered, because he would have gotten knocked down, and the clock would have hit 0:00.
But that term is only specifically used watching Virginia Tech play you don't watch some random SEC game in they say that's Beamer ball If a kick gets blocked. It's not revolutionary style like the wishbone or the air raid or the spread or the run and shoot, terms that are used across many types of school and are not specific to one person/place.
Question.... at what point in the game did it happen?
First quarter when it was still a close game? Second quarter when we're piling it on? Ok, yeah... not the best time
Third quarter after we've hung 45 or so on them and the ECU offense is sputtering at best, only able to hit the homerun, and even that was barely working? Fourth quarter when we have the 2nd string in and ECU is already waving the white flag? Yeah, let the kids have fun.
Or you can watch it and hear the call on Hokiesports.com's ECU highlights.
Didn't we have Miami in Lane, in 2014? It's a game that I'd love to forget, but IIRC Duke Johnson ran wild that night.

Oh yeah, fully agreed... Ain't happening. We're in if it does, but it ain't happening.
I guess we're just erasing 2014 from memory?
Randall also made everyone around him better. Right now, Evans is doing that as well. Yes, he overthrows them occasionally, but when he hits on those deep patterns, oh my word is he dropping dimes. Those mortar shell passes are hitting guys in stride where only they can catch. Its been so much fun to watch.
But yeah, that run was unreal. And I dunno, but from the bar, the game last week, and especially that moment... I dunno, I'm starting to feel like we have something special going on right now.
This latest version has us winning 5 more games? I would be ok with that, since it's a meaningful improvement over last year, but more than a bit dissatisfied.
This is only true if Louisville beats Clemson to make the ACCCG but drops their game against Houston. If we beat undefeated Louisville we're in.
Spoiler alert: Neither of these scenarios are coming true.
I'm still giving this man a lot of love and thanks for giving coach Fu something to build on!!!!!
At least we get to play Miami at Lane for the first time since
20122011!
Those conference expansions will get after ya!
Miami's ranking is surprising given who they've played.
You hear it on the InTune Radio App.
From what I've read, by rule the clock must start, after an illegal shift, since it was running before the play. LSU got a HUGE benefit, because they COULD get lined up. They never came set, so an additional penalty should have been called on that play (another huge benefit that they received).
Technically, he was behind the LOS, since part of his body was still behind the LOS (again, this is what I've read). Replay was clear, that the ball wasn't snapped. You can see the tip of the ball, in the center's hand, ready to snap, when the clock reads 0:00.
edit: forgot to add
While the national pundits say there shouldn't have been a 10 sec run off, option 3 in this link is precisely the penalty that was called, on that play and the document clearly states that there should have been a 10 sec run off.

Damn. That's lower than the series win percentage in the 21st century.
1 loss Coastal team vs UofL in the title game? Winner goes to the playoff. The Coastal is setting up very nice right now for the battle of the pedigree programs (UNC, Miami, VT) to all be between teams that are either ranked or right on the cusp. If whoever comes out on top of that trio makes it to the title game with only 1 loss, they'll most certainly be either on the edge or in the Top 10. UofL right now is #2, and if they make the ACC title game, that very likely means they've finished the regular season at most with 1 loss, having already beaten Clemson and FSU. At that point, you have an ACC Championship of at worst, 2 Top 10 teams with 1 loss. Winner is in.
well it was 38-0 at halftime? I stayed for the whole game so not making excuses. but....
At this point we've only beaten marginally better teams than Miami has. Lets see if we can beat a real team before we buy tickets to the ACC championship game.
Also Miami has no business being top 15 till they beat someone.
Guys, the ACC thinks Tim Settle returns punts. The dream is coming alive

So in a perfectly ironic world, Auburn fires Gus Malzahn and hires Les Miles, and LSU hires Malzahn, right?
