Scottie Montgomery has named his whistle. Scottie Montgomery calls his whistle "Veronica." Scottie Montgomery never takes Veronica off, even in the shower. Scottie Montgomery sometimes lathers Veronica in peanut butter and licks it off in his staff meetings.

I doubt it. While Evans is doing great things from a college football perspective, I don't think one year of this show enough NFL type play for a one and done.

Although the NFL does keep drafting guys with no experience going through progressions so maybe.

This is how my ex-girlfriend pronounced the name, always elicited a masked/inward laugh from me. And that is why she's an ex.

If Clemson is undefeated he'll still be in it, but I think Louisville is going to give them all they can handle.

Not if we also win 2 out of every 3 games. Needs to be on a relevant team even with gawdy #s.

Watson isn't playing at a Heisman level right now. As for Evans, if he maintains this level of play and VT stays as a one loss team, then he will be in the conversation late. However, he probably wouldn't get an invite, and they'd be talking about him as a potential candidate next season. But at the point Ford and Bucky are probably gone.

I grew up fishing the Outer Banks, mostly surf but also some pier fishing. I will say that you are reading the water well, most surf fishermen just walk out in front of their access and start, but working any anomaly in the surf is a good idea. As for the fish, you should have access to possible reds and even stripers, no sheepshead, ladyfish, and of course no snook. Pompano may be in the surf, we used to catch them in the curl of the shorebreak, they feel on the sand fleas present close in. Speckled trout can be plentiful this time of year, and can be caught in surf and sound. Bluefish will abound. I stand by light tackle and Gulp even in the surf if it isn't still too kicked up from the tropical stuff. You can catch flounder, blues, reds, blacks (if they're around), trout, croaker, and even the occasional spot on the 4" swimming mullet on a half ounce jig head. Targeting croaker and spot, use the artificial bloodworms unless your evening meal and life depend on it. If so, spring for the live bloodworms, it is difficult to outfish the worms with anything for pan fish (whiting also are around and love the real and fake ones). Agree usually on the shrimp, but have had a few phenomenal days for trout and reds and blacks in the fall on shrimp. Cut bait will absolutely catch fish. I like cut mullet from the bait store for attracting fish, but cut panfish will work. I usually will chunk a big bait out for larger drum in the trough while roaming the nearby shoreline with my Gulp. As for sand fleas, some days you cannot keep them on the bottom for more than a minute without catching a croaker, and if you dig up a few dozen of them, sort through them feeling for the soft shell ones. Flounder are particularly fond of them if you can keep the smaller fish off of them. Never used clams in the surf, myself.
That's all I got, I am certain French can elucidate you further...Good Luck, and give us a report upon your return.

I am still new to posting on TKP but have been a reader for some time now. I too really appreciate Frenches reviews and will try to join the players club when finances allow.

In regard to Bucky H. I was at the game and it appeared to me that he was pretty winded most of the game. I wonder if the position change to WR is tiring him out. He's running a lot more than a traditional TE would. I know they did a lot of conditioning over the spring and summer but this up tempo O combined with his size has got to be a hard on him. One other thought about Bucky: It appears to me that on most of the passes I've seen him attempt/catch he always seems to be falling down. It looks like a lot of the passes are low. With his size I would think we would be seeing more balls thrown high so that he could high point the ball over 6' corners. I don't think they went to him at all in the red zone against BC and probably just didn't need to. I hope we see him utilized more in the red zone moving forward.

Excellent. Wasn't really sure how he'd play out since he hadn't
really been in D1 games before. Has a great arm and nice power running game.

I'll be able to experience NJ drivers first-hand this weekend....I have to be up that way for a wedding on Friday. I hope my wife plans on driving between 12:30 & 4 on the way back on Saturday. I'll be too nervous to drive.

Scottie Montgomery likes it when the Hatin' On thread runs out of steam early in the week.

IIRC this is Miami's 2nd consecutive football season wearing Adidas and I believe their 15th consecutive season claiming DA U IS BAK.
