Played against Wyatt in high school. Just remember him being a "big talker" on the field. The guy was extremely vocal on the field and plays very emotionally.
I've watched a lot of film and when Wyatt isn't pancaking someone from the LOS, he tends to block below the waist. Sometimes legally, sometimes not. With someone of his blocking ability I personally think he has the ability to stay on his feet.
Vice needs to really go over this rule this week so that there is no confusion going forward.
For the record I simply don't see what our coaches see in him as a returner
He has returned a punt for a TD and despite the poor kickoff blocking took several kickoffs past the 30 and made lots of guys miss.

Bad:
3. Penalties. In person through my Franzia haze and not being able to see the field well enough to distinguish, it felt like some were BS homer calls. But ultimately this is due to being undisciplined, sloppy, and unfocused. We have got to clean it up mentally.
2. Fumbles, duh. Again this is indicative of being undisciplined, which is inexcusable, and perhaps some fumble-itis. Cam does not have a history as a fumble machine. Both are fixable, and I expect this to change because really, we have no other option.
1. Lack of discipline. If you listen to Fuente speak, this isn't entirely surprising - he mentions accountability and execution a lot, and it seems he's always been aware that some of our strings are loose. Again, this must be fixed and it's entirely on him and our senior leaders to demand better. The players spoke of sloppy practices and I hope they enjoy the goddang stadium stairs they better be running this week and again until morale improves. Lunch as been cancelled due to lack of hustle. Deal with it.
Good:
3. Presentation. If this was Master Chef, Gordon Ramsey would be praising our just beautiful pot pie that is freaking raw on the inside. The uniforms, team, program, band, university looked great and were high energy. I hope we keep that up.
2. Accountability. In postgame, players and coaches alike stood up to take responsibility for the multiple and varied failures of the night. I hope these boys take ownership as individuals, units, and a team to pick 1-2 things and improve to perfection every day, every practice, every week. This is the key to creating a disciplined football team, which must be our top priority right now.
1. OUR OFFENSE HAS OFFENSE, YOU GUYS. We had four hundred (400) yards of offense. Is that good? Did we break it? I don't even know because I cannot remember having an offense that produced. Get everything else high and tight, and our offense is a force to be reckoned with.
I am very, very disappointed in our performance on Saturday but very, very excited about the direction in which we are heading. Even my brother who has very begrudgingly tried to make himself support us for over a decade texted me "You guys won me over. This venue and the uniforms and the new exciting offense is all just fantastic. Your team is no longer boring as fuck." He's right; we have left our anemic offenses in the past and are no longer boring as fuck. So let's clean it up and let's fucking go.

# | Ask TKP: What's your one positive and negative takeaway from Battle at Bristol? Positive: the bones of a really good offense exist at the moment. If the execution ever sorts itself out and we lose the emotional b.s. that plagued us in a big game situation, that comboed with the LPD could get us maybe 8 or more wins.
Negative: I live 45 minutes from Bristol, outside of Kingsport. I'm right over the state line. The eventual encounters with Vol fans in public is something I regularly dread. Imagine the horror this week. I envy my NoVA brethren. I envy those who don't have to encounter Vols fans on a daily basis.
Agreed, even the one TD he ripped one arm away from the ball, but the receiver was able to one hand the ball with the other.

That is absolutely disgraceful. I don't even have the words to describe how lewd and cowardly that behavior is, regardless of intoxication level.
When the refs picked up a personal foul late hit flag by a UT DB on one of our O lineman. I knew it was going to be a long night. I received a txt from a UVA friend stating we where getting hosed by the refs. UT did not need any help they are a pretty good team. They may have blown us out anyway but I would have liked to seen a fair game and a blowout rather than that discussing the refs today!
I'm not exactly sure where to post this so I'm just going to leave it here.
One thing that is kind of irking me is the chatter that the officiating was biased and hurt us in this game. I don't like conspiracy theories that try to justify a loss by implying the refs were bought off or that one team had some unfair advantage in the game and they won by design.
Those allegations are petty and juvenile in addition to being unfair to the winning team. I know for a fact that VT has benefited from other teams' mistakes before. We were just on the wrong side of a rough night this time around. Tenn did not look like a top-10 team to me but they are definitely a good football team. Yes, VT beat themselves with costly mistakes but it takes a good team to capitalize on those errors and Tenn did that time and again. They left no doubt that they were the better team on Saturday and I don't think we should try to take that away from them. I don't know what would have happened if we hadn't fumbled the ball away 5 times. I don't know what would have happened if we didn't have so many personal fouls. But you can't blame Tenn for only having 330 yards of offense when they only needed to gain 9 yards to score 14 of their points. Just because we struggled to execute at critical junctures of the game doesn't mean Tenn cheated or got lucky. They were better prepared and they executed at a higher level and took care of business in all 3 phases. They were the better team. What more could you ask of them? Leave it at that.
Tenn is a good team and they did everything they had to in order to win the game. I don't want to hear about questionable or biased officiating because that unfairly takes away from Tenn's win and I know that if we beat a team by 3 scores and have a plus-4 TO margin in the game the last thing we'll want to hear is that the refs were trying to win the game for us.
Yes this loss is very disappointing, especially given the stage on which it occurred, but we only have ourselves to blame. Tenn out-executed us and they deserved the win. I hope our problems cease to continue moving forward. I'm sure the team is only focused on how they can get better. As fans I think we should stop dwelling on that which we cannot control and start looking at what we can expect for the rest of the season. We still have time to bounce back.

Yup, on TV, it was an interview with Beamer. At the game, it was a commercial.
For the most part I was pleased with the defense. We gave up to many big plays, but it was also the second game against a good opponent. With a couple days to think about it, I am not going to worry and will trust in Bud. Luckily this week we get BC and their offense to practice the basics on.
My only complaints about Stroman were when he took the ball out of the endzone or fielded it on the 1.
And they are charging me $1.50 per ticket to print them at home.

Here's the problem with Teller's play, that a lot of people either aren't considering or wilfully ignoring. He got called on this exact same penalty twice. He didn't get pulled after the first call, because as has been pointed out, this is a new rule for this season. Lots of people are going to get dinged on this call though the first few games of the season. But after the first call, everyone on the OL should have known, okay, refs are calling that in this game. And then Teller goes out and does the exact same thing again. That's what got Teller pulled, the fact that he did not learn from the first call.
You can argue bad call all you want. It's a new rule, and even the refs probably aren't completely comfortable with how to properly apply it. But the first time it got called should have been the last time for either team, because both OLs should have gotten the message. The fact that the same guy did it twice shows a little to much "I do what I want" attitude, and that's what got Teller pulled.
The ball was 2 steps away and the defender was attempting to get to it. This was not something far downfield.
Bad call.
Maybe we can convince them to swap crossover "rivals" so they could pillow fight it out with LOLUVA and we could play Louisville?

I don't think he intentionally did it, but even if he didn't he still put himself in the position to get called for those penalties, and it was the second week in a row he's been caught playing over the line. You can play tough and playt with an edge without playing out of control. Right now, his play is out of control, and until he can reign it in, you're playing Russian Roulette with a half loaded gun when he's on the field.

Calling out bad officiating and pointing to the examples that negatively impacted us, is quite different than calling conspiracy and saying the refs were bought off.
BMS and the entire production was definitely in the bag for UT. That does not mean the refs were in the bag for UT.
Pointing out that seemingly bad calls twice on our best lineman, which had the coach then bench the player that we've been clamoring to get into the game, does not mean we call conspiracy.
We can, however, point this to a turning point, when that is what so clearly is a turning point.
