Only thing about this is i'd imagine wyatt not even practicing to his full effort level is still well ahead of colt's optimal performance. He just has the physicality aspect down more so than any other OL we've had lately.

And I am willing to take Coach at his word because we've never heard anything but rumor about any other problems.

i was one of those kids that could not get into the zone and was all in my own head for practice across many sports and all of my years for playing sports. I had to suppress adrenaline in order to focus on the technique for muscle memory and think about what I was doing. I had many coaches comment on it.

I am willing to accept the same thing might be happening here and it is as valid as any other speculation or rumor. Until I hear otherwise, that's my theory and I'm sticking with it.

Let me introduce you to Clemson. They have won the ACC twice since I was born in 1992, but their fans talk down to every other team and have for my entire life referred to themselves as a blue blood because of 1981 when they bought a championship. Most of the fans who will remind you of this were not alive in 1981.

To continue, the term Clemsoning. Clemson fans get so incredibly bent out of shape when you mention this, it's the ultimate inferiority complex response. You remember when Dabo went apeshit to the media one time over the term? At this point, the term is pretty irrelevant, but it remains because Clemson fans are the kid who can't take a joke AT ALL, so everyone keeps messing with him because he freaks out and throws a tantrum every time you make a joke at his expense. It doesn't even matter if what you're saying to make fun of them is true or completely outlandish, it's the utter inability to take a joke that keeps the joke from dying.

But if you don't update the polls until week 4, you could potentially have an 0-4 LSU team ranked in the top 5.

I love so much about this interview.

-Jerod's talking about the 'million' plays he has to learn which means we are going to see a lot more of the play book in the battle of bristol.

-The attitude has changed. A lot more focus on the mistakes. Not in a negative way, but a lot more honest and self aware. I just feel like the chip-on-the-shoulder mentality is back and we are gonna see some hard fought football.

-I love all the talk about blocking. It just seems to not have been emphasized much in the past or not as well as it needs to be. I can't want to see these receivers throwing some hard blocks.

-Last, there are definitely some growing pains we are going to endure. Not all the players are going to adapt like we want, or the coaches want, so it is definitely going to take a year or two to get the results we want. I wouldn't be surprised with a great season either this year or next, but realistically I am not expecting it right away. Glad to see the shift though, this is a new team.

I don't know if anyone else caught it, but ESPN had a video up yesterday where a panel including Finebaum was talking about whether the SEC is still the best conference. Finebaum's answer was 'no', and then the panel began talking about the others who are up there.

Completely absent from the discussion - the ACC. They talked on and on about how the B1G was now the best because of Ohio St and Michigan... But nothing about the ACC. I mean ignore the fact the ACC has 2 of the top 3, and 4 in the Top 25... no, our conference couldn't possibly be in the discussion....

Of course, because they admitted the SEC isn't the best, ESPN has already taken down the video and any reference to it

Bucky needs to be a bully on the field. He is no where near that yet.

We beat them in 2011 66-13. Since then they have moved up to FBC in 2014 I believe and went 11-2 last year with a defense ranked in the top 15. Yes they play crappy competition but they are a very solid football team that returned most of their defensive starters.

As long as they don't go doing something dumb like printing up "Mission Accomplished" shirts, they should be fine.

That was unfortunately the game I chose to attend that year. Similar to the 2012 UNC game where Gio burned us big time.

I'm just going off the top of my head here, but didn't we pretty much destroy Appy St. last time we played them. But that must have been an "off year" for them, I guess....haha. Also, I think Liberty may be a stronger team than people give them credit for.

Excuses, excuses, excuses......neither team played up to their potential, but that's to be expected in Week 1.
