We've finished in the top 15 of the AP poll 9 times...the Coaches poll 11 times. So yeah, that fits.

Could we also do, which kicker outscored LOLuva this week?
Trying to fix this...
I know it's crazy talk but we could
win almostalmost win every game this year.
... looks at Richmond score...
...
Nope. Some fires just can't be put out.
That means that VT hasn't been anything other than decent besides a handful of times.
VT fans do the exact same thing haha. I love VT football with all my heart, but not many fan bases try to push what little relevance they have on other people like Hokie fans.

They're not truly in the ACC for me until we play them, damn it!
My wife went to Ohio State, so when we were dating in 2014, we used an inside joke ("Oh, you're paying - EXCUSE ME, CAN I HAVE THE LOBSTER?", best not used in an actual restaurant). Loser pays for lobster dinner.
Hokies were up after the third quarter so she doubled down on the bet. I ended up with enough lobster mashed potatoes to feed to my co-workers; mostly Buckeye fans. They really played the long-con well that year.
Last season we were engaged, the bet was again mutual. I paid for a day at a cabin with the dogs.
I figure we're good with the friendly bets for a while, phew. On our bye week I agreed to go with her to Pittsburgh so she could attend her annual Boden sample sale. I figured I'd hang out for a day at the Casino...
In the excitement of the home and home I didn't realize her favorite League of Evil team since childhood was visiting Pittsburgh that day. She's an Irish fan, too...
I made it out of Heinz Field alive with my Frank Beamer jersey, but I'm still not too optimistic about going back (I can't get out of work that day or the next. Plus, Pitt fans are assholes).
We're married now. Haven't made a bet for South Bend yet, but I have a feeling it will have something to do with a visit to Three Floyds.
Thanks for the ongoing updates with all the NFL Hokies.
All these injuries suck. Kyshon, Exum, Becton, Malleck, etc. The David Wilson injury still makes me always wonder what if...
Speaking of (and hopefully not off topic for this forum) does anyone know what Ryan Williams is up to these days? After being cut from the Cowboys last year after being put on their I.R, I haven't been able to find any updates on him. Does anyone know if he made another push this year or if he is done with football completely? One of my favorite Hokies of all time, and I always hoped he could overcome his early injuries.

# | Just when you think its not as fun to see UVa keep losing, remember stuff like this... I used to want UVA to be at least mildly good for the sake of strength of schedule and make the ACC better. I wonder if any of you all have felt this way too, because it could potentially help us to beat a better team.
I think if we need to beat a better (than loluva) team then we just need to tweak our schedule. For example, ditch ECU and work out some kind of permanent OOC deal with the $EC or the B1G, or maybe both, in alternating years. But as for the hoos, I want them to go 1-11 every year, only because asking for 0-12 seems over the top. I don't care who the win is as long as it's some shitty 1AA school from New Hampshire. I don't want them to win a game against us, I don't want them to win a recruiting battle with us, hell, if our president and theirs sit down for a friendly poker game I want them to lose that too. I want them to keep losing until even their grandkids can't remember the last time a living hoo witnessed a win against VT.
if you're referring to what I think you're referring to, it's a thing of beauty, and likely what inspires their great play

imo.... Chipotle > Qdoba > Moe's
A day in Butch's life:

So now we need to lay down a brand new FU to this UT.........
True, and this was big aspect of my plan post Jagodzinski, which made me eat crow in the 2013 & 2014 seasons-- early kickoffs AND upsets. Those were dark, dark days...
Needless to say, negotiate carefully.
Or this:

Me right now.

I hate that i love this gif...
Gosh don't they know that you're supposed to schedule your head scratcher OOC opponents for home and homes 30 years at a time?
Me too. I think I forget that fact just as soon as I remember it, and I think that is how it will always be.
I did this once while playing NCAA 07 and my brother was in the room and he looked and me and just said NO...and i never made that mistake ever again

Agreed.
