I don't think that's possible given each school had an allotment of tickets to sell.

NC may be the 9th most populous state, but that belies the origins of many of those residents. I could be wrong, but having been born and raised there, and with many family still there, I believe much of the population growth over the last decade or more can be attributed to an influx of folks from other states. Hence no real attachment to a school like ECU. Although ECU has a great, loyal fan base, it falls well short of the likes of UNC and NC State. They also suffer from being one of six seven (forgot about Charlotte) FBS schools in the state.

Also, I haven't really paid much attention over the last 20 years, but when I was in HS ECU didn't have a very good academic reputation. It wasn't referred to as EZU for nothing. And it was often the fall back school for kids who didn't get into their 1st or 2nd choice, which was usually UNC or State. So assuming that their reputation hasn't improved markedly, that may have had an impact on the Big 12's decision.

Of course now that I've said that, they did let the Cousins in...

the florida people are saying we get to leave for Blacksburg a day earlier because no work tomorrow whoohooo!!!

#leavingfloridalike

UT fan just called XM and predicted 150k fans for them and 10k for Hokies at Bristol. I'll take any odds against that.

I expect to hear Skipper go off so many times that they run out of ammo.

I want this and Liberty held to <150 yards of offense. A smothering D and an offense capable of scoring is what we've lacked in Blacksburg for the past few years. Obviously the W is what matters, but it would be nice!

OU -- A lotta razzle dazzle last year but they'll have to earn a BigXII bid with some consistency
UNC -- they say UNC's defense has improved but they'll still hover around a 70-80th best D, however, a lotta firepower there and Georgias QB is a UVA transfer. ppfffllfftt
USC -- only to cover. i'm not so high on the unknown QB at Bama
Clemson -- the line is just there to bait mouth breathing SEC fans
Texas -- this makes no sense but I dont care, HOOKEM HORNS
Florida State -- two words: Dalvin Cook. Ole Piss lost to Memphis for chrissakes

BOTW: Laughing Dog Huckleberry Cream Ale. Best of fruit and a cream ale without being too sweat or smooth

I feel like people are being overly conservative this season. It's understandable due to what we've endure the past 4 seasons, but I don't see any reason why we shouldn't get less than 8 wins.

We have one of the best wide recievers in the game and our best running back since Wilson. Bucky is a star. Our OL is finally experienced (I hated hearing that as an excuse the past 4 years), we have a Sam Rodgers. Our WR core is decent and I refuse to believe Jerod can be that much worse than Brewer. No offense to Brewer but he was an average QB at best. Great, tough kid though. Jerod is much more talented and should be better at the job.

I get that we've had a coaching change but again, the pieces were always there, it's just that Loeffler could not use them.

I would honestly say the defensive side is more of a question mark but our defense wasn't that great by VT standards last year, I expect an improvement.

The only issue is a tougher schedule, but other than Tennessee and ND I would give a 50/50 split or better to VT. I expect improvements this year.

I keep saying 8-4 as well, with a floor of 6-6 I'd be okay with as long as we're competitive with Tenn and ND. But really I think we can win in Bristol, my hatred of Notre Dame goes so deep that I literally can't imagine a scenario where we lose to them, I think everyone is downplaying Pitt losing a generational talent at wide receiver, and Miami and UNC don't scare me too much. So in my heart of hearts, it's 10-2 (we'll end up dropping a couple no matter what...)

It looks less about spacing and more that the designer set a standard that they kept true to.

It looks like it is the only one with odd spacing but it isn't. Actually the designer has consistently removed spacing wherever the "I" is next to a letter with a "V" shape. So in "VIRGINIA" the "V" and "I" are touching, as are the "I" and the "A" at the end of the word.

This rule applies to the "K" and the "I" in HOKIES because the "K" is designed with a clear "V" shape.
