Could not agree more. I believe Pete Moris runs the VT Football account and that needs to end ASAP. More than half of the tweets are completely irrelevant to anything VT related. A couple weeks ago it tweeted about #internationalCatDay and tagged LSU football with a video of us playing Clemson. Not only is it a completely idiotic tweet, but it tagged the wrong program. Get that shit out of here. Just pass it off to Guerry who I think runs HokiesFB

As a 32 year old, all I can think of is a 5 acre super mansion daycare/ school that will watch my kids for free while I go to all the Home games.

I was looking at the tweets from the grounds crew, and I felt like the Hokies looked bigger than last year. So I did some sleuthing

This is from today -- new font

Last year -- "Hokies" in North Endzone as well

It looks like it fills up the end zone a tad bit more. Still not ideal, but it doesn't seem as empty.

Either way, we start winning and more people will be willing to go to games. It's hard to fault the average fan for staying at home. (especially after that Pitt debacle last year)

Reading between the lines on the push they making at the last minute for student season tickets, and the push for the mini plans I think it's a lot worse than that.

My friend who went to grad school there around 2014-2015 said that Mike London used to host those lectures before every home game about football strategy...

Gotcha thanks. I went to Hokie Tickets to see what seats were still available for purchase, and it really doesn't seem like there are that many left. And looking section by section, there are about 200 or so (very rough estimate) available in the West Stands and (again, very rough estimate) 1000-1500 available in the upper east stands.

It is not in the ESPN contract, likely for a reason. The ACC teams with an SEC Rival (except maybe LVLLE) are on record not wanting to give them up. The basketball schools will want to schedule them as long they count for bowl eligibility, and would vote to keep them eligible as well. Will money eventually change that? Probably, but not during this contract.

Anything below 7-5 will be a disappointment.... We havent had this type of talent at skilled positions in a very long time, no matter the quarterback situation... If we struggle to point up points, that is going to be very concerning.. JMO

Private parking lots DT means you can only go to the place that owns the lot. While that might bring some money to the owner, a lot of those lots stay empty.

I wasn't thinking that these lots would be taken by the Town. The owners could run their own meters (through a meter management company, they already pay towing companies). The Town could put a limit on how many spots would be allowed for "Our Customers Only" and the rest would be metered. Churches, like First Baptist on Main and Turner St. would make a fortune and everyone would benefit from people being encouraged to walk around.

It's going to cost us a recruit. If Michigan lost a commit because they got his name wrong/sent a thank you for an event he didn't attend, I shudder to think of what kind of damage the VT_Football account could do.

I actually enjoy @HokiesFB content - it is run solely by the football staff (unlike VT_Football, which is run by the Athletic Department and also controls the other sports accounts).

There's a key thing about every one of those pictures though, it's the same color on both sides. You're wanting to mix maroon and orange all over the field. That doesn't look good.

It doesn't help that the town has been wrangling with the county forever on the old Blacksburg middle school plot. That is a very large developable space very close to down town. What do all you smart guys with experience think would be a good idea for that place.
