That from Coach Beamer after we hit 93,000 followers! On our way to K #Hokies pic.twitter.com/wk0gnv5hMn— VT Football (@VT_Football) September 1, 2016
good thing they just posted it
I also laugh/cringe every time the @VT_Football account posts this photo.

It does look a tad bigger, not much though. I think the font for this year definitely makes it look better than it was last year, so that is good.
I think that Frank Beamer signature should be on the field for the rest of time. It's a subtle, but fantastic way to honor his legacy.
edit: I think people are getting confused. I didn't mean to name the stadium after him. I meant this

Worst weather games I ever attended in Lane
2003 Texas A&M - the harder it rained, the louder we got. We were the only sporting event on the East coast that played that day, literally everything else was canceled. ESPN loved us for that.
2009 Miami - That was a fun game
2008 Duke - Cold, cold, and colder. Didn't help that our offense played like shit the entire time, too... Wasn't much to cheer for but we won.
2002 Pitt - Wasn't so much the brutal cold, but the heavy winds combined with it. And of course Larry Fitzgerald beating the piss out of our DBs didn't make the experience any better.
Right on, brother! I'm gonna have to brag here and mention that I was at the Texas A&M hurricane game, The Boston College Matty Ice debacle in the rain, Duke AND UNC 2008, the JMU fart into a thunderstorm, and UVA 2012. I only wish I had been at that Marshall game.
I'm sure some long time season ticket holders were at all of those too, and for every terrible weather game there have been 3 with sunny skies and warm to hot temps. Remember kids, HATE KEEPS YOU WARM.
"You are looking live at Frank Beamer Turf at Lane Stadium/Worsham Field. I, unfortunately, do not see Katherine Webb in attendance today, but I remain hopeful."
Yeah, that feels like a bit much.
Yep, I grad'ed in '05 and it was a new school restaurant to me
Maroon. And then we can paint the field Hokie Stone
Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds used to play South Main Cafe pretty frequently.
90's Dave & Tm was the shit. I used to trade shows back in the late 90's/early '00.
It was one of the first places I ate when I started in 1983 (I lived above what is now a bike store next door). It was also the place I took my son in July of this year after his freshman orientation. The decor had not changed a bit.
... and then the bricks would fall off the facade. I recall at one time they put on a "benefit" concert to raise money to repair the building. The title on the poster was, "Keep 117 Off the Streets" Genius, that.
Maroon base... thin orange outline
Orange on the field for us is nooooo bueno if its not counterbalanced with more maroon
This was a bad look for Worsham Field:

All I know is there is an irreversible cold, deep within my heart, that radiates to this day. Weather be damned.
Great idea! Which color, though?

Sounds like the developer needs to make some high density condos. Once the development is done sell if off to a leasing company and turn it into apartments.
Sadly, looks like we're still gonna get drenched here in Raleigh
FUCK MATT RYAN!!!
indeed.
end up at 3-9 again.
that seems.......optimistic
Yeah, that autodraft last night was definitely very, interesting, compared to how it's behaved in previous years. ESPN must be trying something new? (but not good)
Let me help you with that.
Linky
interesting. Hope he's doing okay. One of the groomsmen in my wedding was actually roommates with Mason for a while...I can ask him how he's doing
I didn't even realize it was raining the first 56 minutes of that game.
FUCK MATT RYAN!!!

Call the lady neighbors?
