46" Musky from Lake of the Woods in early August. I'm still looking for that clubber (50"+). Plenty of walleye, smallies and a couple of 24" pike. All the muskies caught in this camp were hooked on 6" Husky Raps. They wouldn't touch Jakes, Double Cowgirls or anything else we threw.

It is my understanding that the offset clause is so they don't have to pay him if he is being paid by another team. IE double dipping. I agree with the Owners on this. He is complaining about wanting more money in one year than 99% of the readers here will likely earn in their lives.
Heck, the chargers are saving him money from his taxes. Who knows what that 20,000,000 a year bracket has to pay as opposed to the 18,000,000 bracket.

Sorry to confuse y'all. We were fishing for puppy drum with the light tackle and happened to catch the 50". When we set for the old drum, we had 65 lb braid and 6000 series reels.
Except for two other top picks this year who took deals with those conditions in them.

This side of the story really needs more attention. He's not being a prima donna, he's asking for what every single other top 5 pick has ever gotten and San Diego is inexplicably being stubborn. Even worse, is that they're going to the press to make him look like the bad guy, which is horribly unprofessional.
And even worse, what they're arguing over is "offset language", which boils down to the Chargers not having to pay him guaranteed money if he's released. Despite it being, you know, "guaranteed".
I'm with you, French. While it can be a hoot catching big fish on light tackle, to intentionally target them that way seems disrespectful to the fish, IMO. You don't need a broomstick, but big drum fight so hard that they exhaust themselves, and even careful handling and release doesn't guarantee survival.

I saw the post but couldn't think of much to help. I have spent a lot of hours, and I do mean a LOT of hours on Claytor, but not bass fishing. In the summer, it becomes even harder to fish because of the warmer water and the daily activity on the lake. I have seen some impressive largemouth bass in the spring while crappie fishing, but other than a couple of four pound smallies out of Peak Creek, I personally haven't caught a bass worth mentioning. I do know of guys catching really big smallmouth this past spring, but they were trolling big shad for stripers. Back in the day, I know some anglers would use jet boats to push upriver at the top of the lake, again, for smallmouth, and they were winning some of the smaller tourneys that way, but as for the greenheads, I'm clueless. Walleye, now...
I actually think points per possession is the most important statistic, as it factors out pace of play. For example GT may average 4 yards per carry, burn a huge amount of time, and have a lousy points per play average. Clemson may average 10 yards a play with almost no time off the clock and have a three times the points per play. If GT scores on more of their drives GT wins, despite losing the points per play, because they won the points per possession.
I'm sure CJF would have liked to have named a starter by now. It's gotta be in the next few days?

I wouldn't put it past Central Michigan to beat UVA. Cooper Rush, the QB for CMU is a 4 year starter and a top 5 QB from a G5 football team. I think he will definitely be able to keep it close and has a good chance to pull off the victory.

To reinforce this point, if you take a look at CBS's 128 rankings, UVA is 99th. Here is their schedule and the rankings of each team:

You may notice that none of those numbers is >99. They don't even have great home/away splits, as their most winnable home games are Richmond, CMichigan and......Pitt? UNC? Louisville? Miami? (Also known as 4 of the 5 best teams they play)
I tend to think they aren't 99th bad, they have some good players and a much better coach. But they also have serious flaws in their talent base and will likely have some painful first-year-coach issues to deal with. It's not good when your swing games are:
- A really good FCS team at home,
- A home game with CMU,
- Road games at Duke, Wake and GT
5 win ceiling, 2 win floor
San Diego claims they never give these concessions, but up until this year they have literally never even been in the position to have to offer one of these concessions, as they have had no Top 5 picks since the new CBA was signed. So they are technically being honest, but after reading the full story it does reflect very poorly on them what they did yesterday I think.
