Thanks for the heads up. I'll be in the Cherry Grove area over Labor Day weekend. Hoping to watch on the beach via ESPN or ACC app.

Down East is George Beckwith. He is a great fisherman, but I wish he would knock it off with the light tackle for big (40 inch plus) red drum. Those fish are old and the extended fight causes higher mortality rates. The fight is fun but those fish can be landed in a fun fight with cobia specific gear (5500/6500 reels, 50lb braid) and 15-30 lb class rods without stressing them.

Thanks for the tips. Do you want it to be where there is fast flowing water into a deeper hole or do you just want it to be deeper? What general area have you fished in downtown Richmond? Not trying to get your best spot, just want an area to start with. In the past, I have just used hot dogs or cut crappie at my local pond. Cut crappie was putting a lot of pressure on my medium rod though. So I usually stuck to hot dogs. I recently got a Penn Battle II medium-heavy rod with the 5000 series reel. I figured that would work well in the river where you need some heavier sinkers to stay on the bottom.

I want someone to find the now deleted youtube video of GT defensive end Jason Peters grabbing Tyrod and running him backwards way after a play in 2010 and Tyrod throwing his ass to the ground and Peters getting up looking for a flag. It was called "Tyrod Taylor dismisses Jason Peters" or something like that, you can find the title but the video has always been removed.

I don't know what's funnier, that half the guys on that sideline start crying for a flag immediately, or that the biggest demonstration came from the chief whiner himself.
