The irony is that all the unis you posted were from Adidas, who gave us the "learn the alphabet line" brought to you by the letter U for ugly, and RVAHokie showed us all Nike schools which at least kept themselves somewhat in line with the school's identity rather than just a letter.

Wherever you decide to go, walk in the day before and negotiate your game. See if the barfolk can assure you not only that they get the game on their feeds, but that they'd be willing to set aside a viewing space for you. I have found that a ten spot can cement relationships, even where there is limited tv viewing space. On game day, let them know you're in it for the entire game, and then make sure you spend enough money that they don't resent your hogging a table for three and a half hours, and then tip the hell out of them so they know that Hokies are good to have around on game day. This approach has worked for me even in Western states where they don't know Va Tech from Vermont. In the OBX, though, I suspect you will soon be surrounded by Hokies and a good time will be had by all...except those unfortunate Flamers who may be around.

This is not all bad news - when the kid gets dinged up again they are going to end up with a non-mobile guy behind an offensive line that isn't used to a statue...See glennon vs tyrod.

Wow. That's a very surprising 8-over-1 upset. I genuinely thought that Bama uniforms were the most heinous overall uniform I've ever seen. It looked so cheap and disjointed.

As I said, personal bias. I am fine with it because they supplemented the O&M accents with something I find equally brand worthy. In this case Hokie Stone. Has any other team had a stone jersey? I honestly don't know, but a Hokie stone alternate uniform iteration is not a bad idea at all, especially if they look this good.
