Ok, then using a different color than white shouldn't matter. As long as there is enough O&M for you which is more of a personal bias. But brand should be achievable with white or black

If you happen to want to take a trip down to Ocracoke, I lived on Slusher Hall my freshman year with the son of the owner of the Jolly Roger pub/marina/hotel. He transferred to UNC-W after freshman year but he might still have a viewing interest.
And these new uniforms have essentially zero O&M. White or black isn't the discussion. Looking at Hunters video you can't see any O&M, and I doubt you'll be able to on TV either.
As has been pointed out, and I agree with the point, the thing that will be remembered about who played in this game is who wins it. I may change my mind on the unis when I see them in action, and a big win can change perception, but as for the football universe at large, it is just a matter of who won.

Maroon jerseys aren't our brand. O&M is our brand. That's my point. Using the away uniforms doesn't take us away from O&M.

away uniforms aren't "on brand" though no matter your #2 or not. It's an advantage thing and/or a color distinction. In that case and in this case alternate uniforms are the better choice because you can make a statement with them.

He was definitely their best choice, but the offensive line protecting him will struggle mightily, especially against the likes of Pitt, Louisville, and the good guys.
You can absolutely forget picking up the stations from Greenville & Tidewater over-the-air down here (KDH/NH/KH). Too far over the horizon.
Cable packages & DirecTV will have the stations that carry ACC Network.
If you're really looking for a bar to watch the games, I'd give the nod to (in order) Barefoot Bernies, Mama Kwan's, Bonzer Shack (local favorite - outdoor ping-pong), and OBBS (great beer but the viewing experience isn't necessarily great). A wildcard is Captain George's - great bar & TV setup for watching games, but I don't think they are open that early.
Depending on their game time, Barefoot Bernies WILL be filled with ECU fans.
