What record(s) was/were broken? First I've heard of this.
Those were jeans, long pants at that, worn by a girl at a dance club, in public, with what appeared to be see through plastic pockets. Whether they were actually see through, or only appeared to be see through pockets is debatable.

Number one, I think Stewie is sour on us because he pushed all his chips in on us last year and was left looking kind of silly (not hating on us, but we were not anywhere close to a Playoff contender last year).
I think our outlook for this year rests on two things. One is QB play, if we can develop a consistent passing game without turnovers, we could be a very above-average offense.
Number two and probably the bigger concern is avoiding injuries, especially on D. We are pretty thin at most positions on that side (other than DT) and 1-2 injuries could really wreak havoc there (see the secondary last year). Hopefully, with improved recruiting we will develop some better depth over the next few years.
Does it need to be so literal though? Must the Hokie Stone natural color variation be present? Does there need to be an overt symbolism like the skipper, the crest or something? Or can artistic license be taken on a medium such as a football uniform?
The artists are focusing on the unique interlocking pattern of how the Hokie Stone is layed and the neutral grays of the cadet uniforms that also link to Hokie Stones. But again, its artistic not literal. Those are inspirational not definitive.
As I said my grandfather graduated in 1939 when it was a military school and when he took me down to VT my first time he had 2 immediate memories. One was marching off demerits on the Drillfield over Thanksgiving holiday and the second was Hokie Stone buildings that lined the Drillfield. I suppose because he had to look at them for so long whilst marching off said demerits.
I appreciate that the school started in red brick, good correction, but I have never met anyone that says VT is known for red brick. It is known for Hokie Stone, and for a long time the corps where the only ones using those Hokie Stone buildings. Does it make it less Corps now because civilian students now use those Hokie Stone buildings as well?
It didn't to my grandfather and his friends, so I don't understand why it does to you now.

I have a problem with the auto renewal. I'm over 80 and in heart failure and when I die, my wife will not understand what the charges are to our credit card. She has no,interest in Hokie sports.

I'm guessing the "all participants" part means it has to come from the entire active community. However, I know if I won them I would just look to give them away to someone on the board who needs them since I will be buying student tickets on tuesday this week. Is there a method for entering that would make it possible for those who need the tickets to enter and would still be open to all active members?
edit: Maybe an open thread where you can comment to enter the drawing. That would assure that the user is an active community member as well as in need of the tickets.

AFC Bournemouth - Great story, survived last season in their first EPL season; U.S. youngster Hyndman there.
But in regards to choosing a team, just pick something you'll be attached to. For instance, I picked Fulham because at the time my favortie national team player, Clint Dempsey, had just been transferred there from New England. He joined up with U.S. legend Brian McBride and I just fell in love with the teams as they pulled off the Great Escape. Ended up in a Europa League final against Atletico Madrid which we lose, but it's been a crazy ride since. We're now in the second division, and I can rarely watch a game, but I've never been more attached to a team other than Virginia Tech. I love it. Listen on the radio, so invested in their transfer dealings and such. I even had to quit following them last season cause I couldn't stand getting updates of conceeding three times before half. It's so much worse not watching your tam be crap.
Also I support (well follow with good intentions) Oldham Athletic, as a lad I played with in school, was from Oldham and I remember them beating Liverpool in the FA Cup a few years back and he had his dad on the phone at his house in the final minute, and once the whistle went you could hear the roar from the stadium through his window. Showed me what supporting a club was all about.
And then I always look out for Northampton Town, who were just promoted from League Two. Only reason there is that I was born in Northampton County. So really, anything that makes you feel attached to the club is where it's at. It's much closer to college fandom as anything American professional sports can offer.
