I rarely post here, and am more of a constant lurker, but it felt good after I got that first big kid paycheck and was able to help out the site.

The entire staff here does a fantastic job and I hope we get to see it continue to grow and flourish.

That game was one of the weirdest I can remember. I believe on the opening drive we returned a fumble for a td and the refs called it back. It was just filled with unusual plays and left me wondering how we lost it. Also the game that started my concern for mobile qbs

Based on the early goings, do yourself a favor and turn on the soccer final. A very high energy game between Germany and Brazil. Neymar scored first from a perfect free kick for Brazil.

Not sure about the dui rules for mopeds here, but anything under 50cc can be driven without a license, which is mostly teenagers (driving age here is 18) who ride two at a time on one to the beach, weaving in and out of traffic. On my commute to work they're adults who will use them to cut you off waiting to enter a roundabout.

You haven't seen excessive amounts of mopeds till you have been to Myrtle Beach area. Mopes in SC don't require a drivers license or license plate, insurance or anything else, you also can't be charged with DUI on one. So all the drunks drive them around, the tourists, the people who have bad driving records or suspended licenses. The only restriction is they can't be on a highway, they still hold up traffic on 55 mph and higher roads every day.

I believe it started out as a 2 man race but you cant ignore the play of JJ. he pushed himself into that race with his play. I think that says a TON about the situation when a guy that you kinda look at like okay he has a bright future we just need some time becomes a guy who you say hey this guy is competing for the starting job.

I agree with you...no need to throw shade IMO. I can't ever know what went on behind the scenes but I got the sense Loeffler was never in a position to succeed in Blacksburg. The revolving door for OL coach surely didn't help the situation. I don't know what he was asked to do specifically but it's possible that he is capable in some capacities but not others. Maybe he was asked to do something he just couldn't.

I do believe that from a technical standpoint Loeffler is no dummy. He understands the Xs and Os of football. What I'm not so sure of is his ability to transfer that knowledge to college kids effectively. That may have been his un-doing.

In any case, I do think that the VT offense is in much better shape now (from a talent perspective) than it was before he got here. He may not have ever been able to produce the gaudy numbers everyone wants to see offensively - he definitely laid some ugly eggs while he was here - but there is no doubt that Fuente is inheriting a much better offense than the one Loeffler walked into.

I do think he deserves credit for laying some of the groundwork but at the end of the day he just wasn't able to get the players to produce consistently and that's ultimately why his time here should be considered a failure. I have no ill will towards Loeffler and I honestly wouldn't mind seeing him succeed somewhere (so long as it's not at our expense). The man has certainly had a rough few years and I think it would be nice to see things fall his way a little bit eventually.
