- Have Motley and Evans not gotten the job done? I was really hoping that Evans would run away with the job.
- OR has Jackson just really stepped it up, played better than a freshman, and really turned some heads? I know that Lawson had some drug issues, but I really think that he saw Jackson playing well and realized he wasn't going to play.

Exactly. You don't take your lumps for a freshman to get experience when you have this much talent. This is the most experience we've had on the OL in years, we have two potential first round picks in Ford and Hodges, Phillips, and some talent at RB.
If Jackson is the best guy for the job....great. But you pick the best guy for this season and go from there.
My only complaint would be if he brought in Evans and Evans never played. It's not a great look to bring in a highly rated prospect and then sit them on the bench until they graduate. I get the best man wins/he knew he would have to compete arguments but at the same time it doesn't feel right.
But winning is winning and it beats the hell out of losing (even if some feelings get hurt).
