Woody's column today in the Richmond Times was about VT's "remodel" job, but he did mention loluva, and I quote..."Two hours away in Charlottesville, they're working very hard on how to run onto the field correctly." Their problems are bigger than a signing table. And yes, I'm still chuckling.

We were there as well. Both my kids are in the kids club (4 & 6) and we were about 15th in the kids club line. We got everywhere except for DBs and OL. If you have kids the kids club is worth it. For $25 they get a shirt, bag, birthday card from the Hokie Bird and a ticket to the BC game plus we got in 15 mins early.
As others said, it was hot but all the fans, players, and coaches seemed to be in high spirits. Coach Fuente seemed to genuinely enjoy the fans and the experience. I love that he's heading up the program. As people were welcoming him to Blacksburg he seemed really appreciative. Foster seemed really energetic and was talking to the kids and really interactive.
As for the players, all were great but the ones that stood out to me and were fist bumping and high five-ing my kids were Durkin (he's HUGE), CJ Carroll, Patterson, Mihota, Sobczak, McClease, and Peoples. When we got up to Tremaine his mom was behind him fixing his dreads, just a funny sight to see. I did notice a lot of the coaches had their families out and some of the players' families were around as well. An extra shout out goes to Settle (who my 4 year old was in awe of his size), Slye, Rogers, Tre Hubbard, and Motley. All of them really stood out to me as having a great time with it. Bucky seemed a bit indifferent when we got to him but my daughter said something to him and got him laughing. My wife got a great picture of it which I'll try to post later.
Overall it was a great event. It would've been nice to have some more time, but my kids were breaking down at the end. Sorry to all the coaches and players, but their favorite part was meeting the Hokie Bird. My only disappointment is that I didn't get to meet Bucky Rogers. I think they may be saving him for the season.
It is not just Virginia, al states have convoluted alcohol laws. They are just different.
For instance, NC, where Wake exists, recently changed the laws to allow ANY alcohol sales on Sunda. The law was changed but, you still cannot buy alcohol before noon on Sunday.

# | Virginia Tech Defensive Coordinator Bud Foster Addresses Media at Hokies' Media Day I kinda took it as coach speak for "Brandon was surrounded by NFL DBs his freshman year and his production reflected that." Now he's in a role where he will have a lot more asked of him in order to put some younger players in a position to succeed. Personally I don't expect him to lead the ACC in interceptions or whatever again not because I don't think he's "DA U" but because he doesn't have Kyle/Kendall etc out there.

It was interesting in the player interviews how they wouldn't give anything
away regarding the offense. Like a question, what are your biggest weapons this year
would be met with "we've been working really hard and will be a tough team."
