kinda stinks the key players club hasn't been as fruitful as hoped :/
makes me sad to think TKP could be on the way out. This is most definitely the best place on the whole internet. I feel kind of helpless knowing that I've contributed and encouraged friends to do the same but can't really do much else.
That's it, I'm joining!!!
Look at what you started, man, ya happy??

My intent wasn't to single you out, I was responding to the thread at-large. My apologies.
Snazzy!!!
will range from TKP closing up shop, to becoming a pay website, to scaling back content

Tim must have given up gravy as a beverage.:--)
This was less a complaint and more asking for help that I knew was out there but I was unable to find myself. The ad blocker someone suggested has worked great so far.
I really hope The Key Players Club picks up significantly soon. Didn't intend this to draw any negative attention towards the site.
Thanks!
That's why they stop selling it after certain point at all pro games the seventh-inning in baseball the fourth quarter in football etc. and what's to stop you from going out in the parking lot after the game and slamming something down?
Honestly, I have little control over this. The tools Google makes available to block individual ads are cumbersome and time consuming to use. I don't have the time to track down the problematic ads. I'm already stressed out trying to ensure we deliver quality content. Google usually does a solid job eliminating problematic ads, but it's not an instant fix.
I try to be as transparent as possible with y'all, so here's the deal. I never took a step back with TKP when I began my new job, because honestly I could not find anyone to fill my shoes and do what I do on a day-to-day. What would unburden me the most is a full time employee that can report in Blacksburg and contribute to TKP's editorial process. That requires money, hence ads and The Key Players Club. The Key Players Club has greatly underperformed my expectations.
I am committed to one more football season (2016) the way things are currently run. After this year, if there resources aren't available for me to decouple myself from TKP's day-to-day there will be some major changes which will range from TKP closing up shop, to becoming a pay website, to scaling back content.
You must be lucky. TKP routinely makes my tablet run hot and churn battery when I use it.
So, someone gets smashed at the game and gets pulled for DUI. "Where were you drinking?", asks the Barney Fife. "At Lane Stadium, Occifer.", responds the drunk fan. If the concession gets the blame, official drinking at Lane could be over? Sort of like a bartender saying when you have had too much.
Popped right into my head

The only time I view TKP on a laptop is when I want to embed something or type a long post. Always on iPhone or iPad and haven't had issues with slowing, just being dragged to bottom when I open a thread.
Interestingly it has. That's why I do it...
Yeeeaaah there's a reason why I rarely if ever turn ABP off. I'll kick in money to financially support a site like I have done with TKP, but I will always browse with Ad Blockers up and running (The Youtube blockers are especially great) because of the nature of how invasive these ads can become (like we're seeing in here today). There's also the problem with ads that are downright predatory in nature that aren't really ads, but Trojan Horses to infect your device with whatever crap is next. Recently, I've been getting some incredibly annoying full page redirects through Verizon that take me to a "You've won, click here to claim your prize" ads that you just know have virus downloads all over it, and the only way to close the page is to completely kill off your browsing session.

Ah. See I thought the BYU player was punishing someone who violated the cart's personal bubble.
That.... won't help
Wine and cheese cart.
That face when you realize you were born into a Hokie family and not a Hoo family.
This might sound stupid, but how did you do this?

While reading the headline, I kept reading "Ford" as being Isiah Ford....I'm not a bright man
