That doesn't mean the current NC State coaching staff couldn't use his name as a selling point to recruits. Except I'm sure they're trying it just isn't as big a selling point to have 1 guy hit it big as it is to have consistently high draft picks and consistently winning teams. Which they don't and currently neither does VT

I'll be there.

That's what I told my wife too so it was "my decision"

I went to the Spring Game instead. This is so close to the season that I'd rathet save that "first time in the stadium this season" for the kickoff.

oh for sure, that's absolutely right about history. It may not be Fuente's history but it's VT's and there's no reason not to use it. Hell, I met a kid (12 year old) in LA last June who's favorite player was/is Vick. He's never been to Virginia. Never seen the guy play in person, but he knew he went to the school on my shirt. Tyrod could do that too.

And agree also the Fuente has a lot of QB cred to use.

But recruiting is about using all the tools you have. In absence of storied history, splashy new history (no matter before Fuente or not) is always a good selling point. It ABC

and some recruits like to hear that someone, anyone from the school they are interested just made serious bank.

That's wasn't pretty, Hull is a team in turmoil and they just didn't look good at all.

Oof, that's one way to defend the title Leicester. Let's see if it pays off for them.

as a team they fence very well.

do you mean they have a nice balance to score team points in tournaments, akin to wrestling?

predicting that Virginia Tech will have a comfortable lead at half time.

VT 45
LU 13

so if this is your halftime score what do you think the final score will be?
:p

Heading down tonight and staying with friends. Will be a bit of a whirlwind, but I think it will be fun.

She got wise to the Chinese fencer always trying to hit her on the foot.

I'm really happy for the Romanian team. No one on it is particularly remarkable, but as a team they fence very well.

Saw this on Reddit and thought of VT_Fencer. This is Ana Maria Popescu winning gold for Romania in the women's team epee.

She didn't block the Swede's penalty kick and the Swede goalie blocked ours...how is that cowardly play?

She should be lucky they didn't take more shots!

I know what you mean, but though I used to feel the same way, I now get popcorn and a drink at movies. It's part of the experience for me. If I wanted to see a movie cheaply, I'd wait a month and catch it on redbox, or six months and catch it on TV.

I actually got to sit in the West Stands Indoor club last year for a game someone's corporate tickets , and I'm happy to report that while the prices were high (not $10 BL high), they had some good craft beers. I hope they keep that for everyone

For me, the disrespect angle started from the get go when he wasn't drafted until the 6th round. Then there seemed to be a lot of talk that the Ravens were dumb for holding on to only two qbs because Taylor was garbage. Then I remember when the bills picked him up, I heard a ton of talk that they were dumb and that Rex was being rex and didn't know jack about qbs. I'll admit I've been drinking the kool aid since I started watching him when i was a freshman in college in 08, but it's just always seemed to me that they perception of tyrod had been that he's not worth a roster spot. Yet everyone who watched him at tech knew what he was capable of
