When do y'all think the reveal will be?
I guess UT will be the orange team, so tech maybe gray?
ALL THINGS THIS. FOREVER.

Matt Damon? Naaaaaa, he looks more like Pee Wee Herman's stunt double.
I agree it's been better but it baffles me why they don't make more use of: USA, CNBC, MSNBC, NBCsports than they do. Showing reruns of Law and Order, caught on camera or infomercials during the same time when live Olympic events are going on seems like a waste of their available TV power.

yeah, I think coverage on the whole is not great. But I do think we can agree that the combination of televised and online content make more events accessible.
I remember watching Olympics growing up and they would have the big things in primetime (like gymnastics) which would block everything else and then you would get a flurry of wrap-up of all other things going on. So while I love watching swimming, gymnastics and the other main draws I was also always interested in the more offbeat events. Online content provides that.
NBC may have a extremely poor way of integrating the two or making the combined schedule the most appealing, but the combination of the two is absolutely better than only being televised.
MORE BOATS

I think both will play a lot vs Liberty and we're going to yell and scream about our preferences for the week between Liberty and Tenny.
Victory. See you there, Jersey
It's an alternate uniform. Whit's been saying the same thing about uniforms since January when Alex first reported about them: http://www.thekeyplay.com/virginia-tech-football/2016/01/11378/ad-whit-b....
He noted that the team will reveal a special uniform for the much-hyped Battle at Bristol in the coming months (his rating: "pretty cool"), and while he demurs on specifics for the rest of the new look for now, he did give a few hints.
"I think if you want a hint, I think you could say certainly, the oranges, the whites, the maroons, but something along the line of black or dark gray anthracite type stuff, that could be a possibility," Babcock said, noting that the team's all-black uniforms against North Carolina proved to be a big hit in the team's first foray into that color palette in some time. "Our standard, sharp, traditional VT logo will be on all helmets next season, same as this year."

# | Virginia Tech Quarterback Dwayne Lawson to Transfer to Hutchinson Community College Sounds right. Can't put my finger in on it.
Like "a boy named Sue," except they're all Sue...
Ha! Only thing I would change is that I'd make the Nascar a convertible with Hootie standing out the top.
Am I alone in thinking we're going to beat Tennessee? I'm just not that impressed with them yet. Yes, their recruiting has been better, but outside of last year, they've been just as bad as us or worse on the field for the last few years. I certainly understand staying modest and having realistic expectations, and maybe I'm just being stubborn, but I'm not afraid of a 9-4 SEC East team who's had one good year out of the last ten or so.
Last year, Tennessee lost (close games) to: Oklahoma, Florida (again), Arkansas, and Alabama. I'll admit those are quality losses, if such a thing exists.
But their best win came against Georgia in a game where Nick Chubb got hurt on the Dawgs' first play from scrimmage, and Greyson Lambert almost led Georgia to a road win in Knoxville. Other than that, they beat Bowling Green, Western Carolina, Kentucky, South Carolina, North Texas, Missouri, and Vanderbilt. All of those teams are bad. And then of course they blew out Northwestern in the Outback Bowl, and I have to give credit where credit is due -- a blowout in any New Year's Day bowl is pretty impressive.
During the last ten years, we've had early season marquee matchups with LSU, Alabama twice, Boise State, and Ohio State twice. And I genuinely believe we have a better shot going into the Battle at Bristol than we had in all of those games except Boise.
Can't believe there have been 13 comments, and not ONE about the uniform.
By "a little bit different", does he mean the new ones that were showcased already?
They held up the opening ceremonies online also. NBC had some press release about Olympic viewers need context for things they see at the opening ceremonies.
This. I made that transition about the same time (April 2014). My kid got upset on planes when he was little (only briefly and then usually ate and slept), it happens, other kids do too, and I feel bad for their parents (as long as they aren't completely ignoring the kid). Cabin pressurization messes with their ears and they don't comprehend how to fix it.
Also, Lane is supposed to be a welcoming place to all fans regardless of what brings them there. We aren't wvu. We are louder and friendlier. We will yell our lungs out all day to be a nightmare for the opponent and have a drink with opposing fans after the game. In fact, my biggest beef with the whole Hokies Respect campaign was that I thought we were already pretty respectful.
Man, strollers at Disney World are weaponized instruments of "get out of my way." I can't say I've never used a stroller that way, but it's usually justified because it's on a narrow city sidewalk and people are basically about to run over my kid or force the stroller into the street. But at Disney World, especially after the fireworks those things are used for being able to cut your walking path off from 8 feet away.
Which is why they have digital content. They make their money by running commercials every eight minutes and you can still watch everything you want online.
Chromecast sounds pretty killer. Will need to get that.
Thanks for the info.
Motley is a RS-Senior so this is his last year regardless.
That looks like a toilet bowl I threw up curry in.
If Evans gets the job, I almost hope gor Motley's sake he transfers and lands at a place where he can be a clear starter for a year. We need the QB depth, but it just seems like Motley's losing his spirit, his wild turkey spirit.
Coach Dooley recruited DL Morgan Roane, whose daughter was one of my favorite co-workers at a previous job. though she never went to VT, she'd always tell me stories about her dad knowing i was a diehard Hokie.
R.I.P. Coach Dooley and thank you for your contributions to the alma mater...

Hope we get to play more of the powerhouse teams, i.e., Clemson and FSU.
