I'm not proud of it but I've subconsciously thought, "Take that, bitch" every time I've ever seen that gif
Having recently retired from active duty, I can commiserate with having "watched" WAY too many Hokie games via that ESPN bar thingy. And the sad thing is the ESPN refresh rate is probably the quickest of the bunch.
But I wanted to give HOKIETAPES a quick shout out. The best ESPN gamecast coping mechanism I've found was being able to watch the game when Hokietapes would post it the next week.
its not free dollars, its actually called Free Play Blackjack. You play with house money if your first two cards are doubles or if your first two cards equal 9, 10, or 11, ex. 2 and 7, 3 and 7, 5 and 6, etc.
If you two first cards equal 9, 10, or 11, and you bet $20 originally, you can double down for $20 (or whatever you bet originally) and the house pays for it but can only take 1 more card, that's what kinda sucks, but if you get a high cards or face, you are looking pretty. So basically half of your bet is your money and the other half is house money.
Doubles you can split for house money. So again, if you bet $20 on your hand and you got 9 and 9, you can split those cards and the dealer will pay for your $20 split, so now you have $40 betting but its only $20 of yours, $20 being the house. Now, if you get two 6's for example and split those on house money, and you get a card on top of one or both of your 6's and the total equals 9, 10, or 11, you can free play it again with house money and the house gives you another $20 for one more card.
Now all is good except here's the catch, any other regular Blackjack game the dealer would bust on 22, in this game to give the odds back to the dealer, on 22 the dealer pushes.
that one chick is whiter than mayonnaise.
sums up UVA football
Lmao! How many "free dollars" have you cleaned out?
The girl in the GIF... priceless :)
Free Play Blackjack, I have come on top of that variation of Blackjack every single time.
The thing that annoys me is that it looks like they have ridiculously expensive tables. I don't know how much my wife is willing to put into the bankroll for this. My typical strategy is that if I lose 3 hands in a row, I walk.
To be fair, it wasn't all that difficult to predict. But I appreciate the recognition nonetheless.

Short of learning the art of card counting at blackjack or resorting to illegal methods like card marking, there really are no effective means of extracting funds from that fine establishment. To limit your losses, stick to the games with the slimmest house advantage, like craps or blackjack. But stay away from the bonus bets at the blackjack table and the bets at the middle of the craps table. These generally provide a very strong house advantage. Stay as far away from roulette as you can, as that typically has one of the strongest house advantages.
If you're any good at poker, spend your time there. I've played the poker room there once or twice and found there is often easy money to be made there. The big advantage is that you're not playing against the house, who always wins. You're simply paying the house a small fee for the opportunity to extract some funds from your fellow patrons.
In other news, Deadspin saw Buzz's Wednesday Wisdom and made a short article about it. I thought it was funny.

If you're going to name a building after Mama Fuller, you should probably Teller first.

the title being in click bait format. I'm gonna click on any thread that doesn't have to do with fishing or game of thrones on TKP.
I see the VT walk is a lot longer. Trying to tire the players out uh.
So which is worse?
The title being in "click bait" format or the fact that you clicked on it?
You aren't kidding

Its got the new players and has Alexander and Gaines listed
My sources said it's not done yet because the school wanted to make it look Fuller.
brickhaus nailed it above with his prediction
oh you mean the guy who oversaw the entire football team go on strike and get the president fired? great move baylor
Some new members were added to the staff, I saw that on Hokiesports.com and TJ Jackson is listed at 6'3 vs 6'8, no big deal but when you weigh 330 lbs it's like expecting Tim Settle and getting Parker Osterloh. (I am happy to have all 3 on board though.)

Why would he leave? He has a chance to become the Frank Beamer of VT basketball. The floor is low in terms of expectations, we were STOKED to make it too the NIT last year. He has job stability, a great fanbase, and possibly the best AD in college athletics
