Actually a Packers fan, but I don't like seeing anybody getting screwed by Goodell especially beyond all precedent.

I got to see the construction first hand earlier this week heading into a meeting in Merryman and I can say it looks better in person than it does in these photos. The orange is very bold in person and there's lots of great tributes to Beamer (obviously) that haven't been shown yet including photos from his final games. Also, lots of Fuente graphics in there too already - photos seem to be from the Spring Game. The yellow someone pointed out above isn't as 'yellow' in person as the orange and dark gray almost overwhelm what used to be off-white and wood. Things seem to be moving quickly and I expect it to be finished on time before the end of the month. The whole place looks much better and the modern vibe reminds me of my recent visit to Clemson's stadium/offices.

Good news. The buyout thing doesn't concern me because nothing really changes. If a big time school (ala Duke, Cuse, the two Michigan schools, etc) want him, they can get him any time. That's just the facts of life of where we are in the major college basketball landscape. But the thing I take away from it the most is the fact that he and his family are endowing scholarships. That's proof that he's really invested in VT and the community. So to me, that makes me believe he just won't up and leave for any other program that comes calling (like TCU or Okie St did this year).

Pokemon Go distracts people from the boredom of real life. Recruiting distracts us from the boredom of the off season.

I was a little surprised at how low the buyout is in the final year (only $250k). But then again, if Buzz and Whit are both still happy with the arrangement, I'm sure another extension will be in place well before then.

The buyout starts large but gets small fast.
