No, I don't think you are the only one. To me it was pretty clear he wanted to draw Jon into range of the archers so he could be killed before the battle actually started. The stunt with Rickon was a combination drawing him out and messing with him by pretending Rickon had a chance of escaping.
That would have left the Stark Loyalists and Wildings totally disorganized.
Yep DW took the brunt....
Pyne vs. Grove will be interesting to see. Pyne had his number retired, but Grove would've if Tech was still doing it (they stopped in 2002). For the record, Grove's jersey was retired in 2006.
No but it did draw jon out. And that forced the army to charge out of their plan. Ramsay had a good plan (as awful as it was) and jon fell right into it, understandably so
I'm rooting for Motley. I think he has the tools to be successful. It's probably far-fetched but I still hope he can do it. I like the idea of a local kid turning out well, The guy who put in a lot of time and a lot of work and many years.
Was I the only one who thought it was a trap and he was going to shoot Snow instead?
I can't refute that. But as a whole Europe isn't as bad as South America.
Even Andy says it's hard. But for the centers, when there's a player on the list who has had his number retired, that's probably a safe bet for a high vote.
VT vs FSU: Parent's Living room
Miami vs VT (03): Upper deck SEZ (made my girlfriend skip homecoming to be at that game)
VT vs Miami (04): Parent's Living room
Miami vs VT (05): Section 11...oh the pain sitting through that game
VT vs LSU (07): Friends apartment in collegiate suites
VT vs LOLUVa (11): From Lane North's hill basking in the LOLUVA Fan's tears
I still think Klinsmann needs to go :)
Italy and spain have to be close seconds then haha
Amen. While he may have been a good bowman, all Rickon had to do once he got say 50 yards out would've been to turn around and simply dodge the arrows as they came in. A bow of that period would've never pushed an arrow past 200 fps at the bow, and once it gets downrange that speed likely decreased by half due to wind resistance. For comparison, a 90 mph fastball travels at 132 fps. It would be like a center fielder playing a foul ball. Just get out of the way. And in order to hit a weaving Rickon, Ramsey would've had to guess where he would be well before Rickon even knew himself.
Youth. Are those movies different from Dora the Explora or Sponge Bog Squared pants?

There was no way for him to run 300+ yards fast enough. While yes I know it's a show, I just can't see why that was his choice, straight line.
Also, what marksmanship by Ramsey. Very impressive that sadistic f*$%
I find it to be a great icebreaker for "why you should let me date your daughter, sir!"
Because he's a 10-12 year old kid?
It's been established through the show that Ramsey is actually really good with a bow and arrow/hunting.
Getting out of range as quickly as possible seems a better play than moving side to side against a master bowman
When I was in Europe a couple months ago watching the CL games at the bar everyone was asking me why Americans don't like soccer. I personally love the sport, but obviously it's not as popular in America as a whole. It was a game Ronaldo was playing in and he pulled one of his "I think I got hit by a steel chair" moments about 3 minutes in, I turned to them and said "That's why." I honestly get the hatred of soccer for the flopping and faking injuries, it annoys me too.
I think they should have a 5th official in the booth who is reviewing plays. When a player goes down and the ref misses the yellow card for diving that official should be able to tell the head official. Maybe it'll be a retroactive yellow, but I bet you see a lot less diving and that is by far the biggest problem with soccer right now.
Coach London, is that you?
We've had tremendous success with dual quarterback systems in the past
Why didn't Rickon weave, vary speed, stop and start or do anything but run in a straight line!

I want to post something negative about Motley being named the starter, but I just can't.
and yet:
...manna rains down from the sky on his qb skills. He's gonna need it.

Here's a cool look behind the scenes of the episode.
