Not sure why you consider the US a long shot to make it out of the group. It's 50/50 for me. Costa Rica has not proven they can beat the US in a competitive game on US soil, Colombia will be difficult and if we get a draw that'll be good enough, and Paraguay is the wildcard that could throw a wrench into the whole thing.

Group A - Columbia and USA (a long shot)
Group B - Brazil and Ecuador
Group C - Uruguay and Mexico
Group D - Argentina and Chile
From there:
Columbia vs. Ecuador
Argentina vs. Mexico (this goes beyond 90 IMO)
Brazil vs. USA
Uruguay vs. Chile
Columbia vs. Argentina
Brazil vs. Chile
Argentina wins.
Brazil should compete more but they're fielding a weak team for the Olympics which are in jeopardy which would really suck. Brazil is such a anomaly in this tournament. They could win the whole thing or lose in the group stage. Nothing would surprise me. Columbia too. They'll be better than Brazil, but they've under-performed.
One of a few roads we (me) cannot consider due to proximity to my in-laws! It's a good 1 minute walk to Hearthside from where my in-laws live (Stanaford Road). I need at least a 15 minute walk distance, preferably 100+ walk minutes away from them or else it's going to turn into everybody loves Raymond.

Man, I know it's going to be a lot of work...but I like seeing this.
Was Tenn relevant when kids started choosing them again. They were closer to a .333 program when Butch took over but he was able to sell his vision to them about how they could turn around the program. What was the results of that for him? Multiple top 5 classes and now look where they are. You don't have to be winning to be able to attract recruits if you are able to sell how you will use them and what they will get out of it.
Just curious but what would you consider vastly improved about recruiting other than the effort thus far?

I'm in the "it's too big" camp. Just leave it at 64 (or 68) and give auto-bids to both reg. season and tourney winners. This makes the regular season important again, and a good "one-bid" team doesn't get left out because of a lucky buzzer beater in the conf. championship. Give the extra spots where season & tourney champ are the same to at-larges. The reg. season champs get a lower seed so they're still encouraged to participate in the tourney.
No more 8-bid conferences, and the "you should have won your tourney" line would now apply to all teams, not just the little guy.
Curry and Thompson combine for a season low 20 and Warriors still win by 15. And the big 3 for the Cavs didn't play particularly bad either. Not a good sign at all for Cleveland.
Man I feel like a lot of these VA kids like Vilain and J. Williams basically list us in their top groups because we are the big in state school, yet in all reality we really aren't much of a consideration for them.
Ugh....I hate the fact that Pitt is a thorn in our side. I feel like we should be leaps and bounds above them.
