MOD - No not the worst team but not close to being a top 10 program like TN fans think. You play in the sec east, which is very weak . You have done nothing for years. Maybe if you ever beat Florida you will have a chance to win the east. If you go 0-12 you always think you are better than anyone you play. What you did 15 years ago matters to no one but TN fans who think the almighty Vols are God's gift to football. I've been to the TN board to just talk about the game, all you get is TN is God and VT has done nothing. TN should win the game but with Jones coaching any team has a chance. I'm think he will still be there, the cover up will last at least past the season.
Not really actually haha, imagine if we lose to the team that got beat by App State? Or it means that a win against Tenn doesn't really mean anything going forward.
Nagbe, man. Nagbe.
.@darlingtonnagbe's 2nd half touch chart. 32 / 32 passes completed and the game-winning goal! #USAvECU #USMNT pic.twitter.com/4YZqxYjMVC— Ben Jata (@Ben_Jata) May 26, 2016
This won't mean anything. Couple days this early in the season don't matter, considering we play Liberty first. I doubt we show much offensively in it.
Understood. There is definitely lots to evaluate for everyone. As with most changes, there will be some who the change will impact positively and some who it will impact negatively. Ultimately, we needed to go to a more modern donation model like all of our peers have done. I guess we will see in a year how it shakes out in reseating.
I am hopeful that everyone will be able to find a level where they can support the program at an amount they are comfortable and still get good seats if they want them. I will say if you're looking for some seats on the lower end of the donation requirement, the seats I got in the last reseating in Section 5, triple letter are pretty good. Not to say they are the best seats in the house, but I enjoy the games just fine from there and was very surprised they only carry a $100 donation per seat in the new model.
I had a similar supervisor back in 2009 (well, he was technically a few steps up in the chain of command, but he liked to micromanage everything, and was actually pretty horrible to work for). I transferred out over New Year's 2009 (not because of him, but I certainly wasn't sad about it). My last day working there was the day before the CFA bowl. The only regret I have is not being able to go back to work to give him shit about losing that game.
While I'm not super confident about Copa this summer, the potential of our next two World Cup teams is off the charts.
Thanks hokie07, I now know what "bumping a thread" means. I feel so smart when I figure something out. Then I realize that everyone else already knew and I feel dumb again. There must be balance in the force.
Yep. Or they'll say "we won that game except for 7 minutes in the 4th quarter."
My supervisor always makes snide comments about our empty trophy case and asks how many national championships Tech has. He didn't even attend UT, but is typical of most fans around here. The closest score prediction I've heard so far is 37-34, UT. Most have us losing by 3+ TDs lol.
If we lose Bristol game, I will never hear the end of it. Ever.
Decent shift tonight for US. Biggest takeaway: clean sheet. Also, Bradley has to play the #6. Beckerman just looked old tonight. Nagbe needs to be central from the off, Wood has to start and Pulisic is gonna be a great change of pace substitute.

"The only years that matter are the ones where my team was good."
No but I can cite several :D
I read that as "red headed sheep-cousin" and was more surprised that I got it wrong
I recently heard a theory that the direwolves die when their respective Stark kid does something bad. Lady was killed after Sansa lied. Grey Wind died after Robb broke his word. Summer died after Bran was responsible for a lot of people getting messed up. No idea about the story of Shaggydog, but Rickon's story is basically totally unknown. If there is any veracity to this, Ghost won't die unless Jon does something dishonorable. In my mind, there's nothing Jon could do to Ramsay that would be dishonorable :) I'd rather Sansa execute Ramsay. The one who passes the sentence should swing the sword.
Absolutely they are. We don't even consider them an SEC school. When will you all learn that a couple of years doesn't create a legacy? "The Vols have had a few bad years, boy they must be the worst team in history."
Well, we do have three Big 12 games coming up....a home and home and a neutral.
Granted, it's the red headed step-cousin of the Big 12...
Given German sports culture as it relates to fussball, one can assume not only that drinking is permitted, but practically required.
Exactly this. Whenever people mention the disparities between book, GRRM's response is to ask "how many children does Scarlett O'Hara have?" (3 in the book, 1 in the movie) The point is, rather than nitpick the differences, people should enjoy each telling for what it is. It took me a while to really grasp that as a book reader, but once I accepted that they are two totally separate entities that share some commonalities, I found I enjoyed both more.
Every 'Skins fan I've talked to thinks yall are gonna be 8-8 or better.
To be fair, we've been saying that every year since RG3 was drafted.
But 20 years of watching them suck has kept me from being too delusional about the team.
Now, my brother-in-law, as a Cowboys fan....he's not as calm as his father when they have their bad to mediocre years.
Leg for one of the greatest bands OF ALL TIME.
Maybe it's just me but Curry doesn't like fully healthy at all. A 60-70% Curry has absolutely no chance against a 100% Westbrook.
But I honestly don't think the Warriors would make it past the Thunder even if Curry was 100% with the way they are playing right now.
Some of them might be natural born enemies. Like englishman and scots. Or welshman and scots. Or Japanese and scots. Or scots and other scots! Damn scots!! THEY RUINED SCOTLAND!!!
Underscore only has 8 legs...

I'd be ok canceling a few ECU games to do a home & home with Oregon, Texas, or Oklahoma. Or really any team.
