Brings up a good point. Sauced ribs cover up the taste of the pork, while dry rubs enhance it. The better the pork, the simpler the dry rub can be.

Really? Steaming is the heart and soul of the Texas crutch. You just want to make sure to hit it with another hour of smoke at the end to firm the meat back up and let the bark set up.

I think this talk about not televising it being a competitive advantage or a recruiting tool is a huge reach. I really doubt other teams get much useful tape of opponents from seeing spring games, or else spring games wouldn't be televised by nearly every other school with such regularity. And I really, really doubt too many recruits that wouldn't be attending regardless are going to be motivated to drive out just because they can't watch it on tv.

The reality is, ESPN didn't want us bad enough and whoever makes the decision to have it filmed decided it wasn't worth the money to make it happen, and that sucks.

Steaming, i know a lot of guys that frown upon that. I used to do it at Boston Beanery, and really helps the meat fall off the bones.

As a professional tester, I think Jim Harbaugh has a future in my field. Find all possible ways to break the system, and exploit the hell out of each possibility until you force everyone to collectively stop you. Now if he's willing to take a seven-figure pay cut, I have an opportunity for him...

And also those fans who are only an hour and a half a way but have a wife's birthday party almost always falling on the same day.
