I'd love to join a TKP tailgate, but I'll be tailgating at Laser Tag at the NRV Super Bowl.

Sounds like you just volunteered your son's party as the TKP tailgate.

Looking out for those who can attend...I like it. Leg.

Also, best of luck to Mrs. Fireman and Firetike.

This will be my first spring game...every time I had ever planned on going, horrendous scheduling of baseball or rugby derailed those opportunities. Nevertheless, I plan on tailgating with some friends behind the woods near the lions club. My photo on here is a rather uncanny resemblance of my head...I'll toss ya a beer if you spot me.

I disagree how did schools in the "North" recruit prior to these merged camps? This about schools with large budgets just spending more money to gain easier access.

Yeaterday I was in Lane taking some graduation pictures with the ladyfriend, and who should walk in but Chuck Cantor, Vice, and I believe Wiggins. I couldn't recognize who the recruits were (we wre up in the stands at that point), but I could hear Chuck. I will say this: if that's how our non-coaching staff recruits, I think we're gonna be just fine.

He tried to be Tin Cup but did not get the ball in the hole...

Any bets on how long it will take OSU or Michigan to establish a "regular facility" somewhere in Texas or Florida?

On a more serious note, this decision by the NCAA is awful. Just because a bunch of southern schools want to protect their turf in the most fertile recruiting grounds in the country, the NCAA is creating obstacles for student athletes (you know, the people they claim the organization exists to serve) to meet and build relationships with coaches from other parts of the country, at whose schools they might get a great education and advance their football careers. The real losers in this are not the northern college teams, but the high-school players, and that's a real shame.

FWIW, I noticed recently that Hooter's is now closed.

I used to occasionally see Doc Walker with a bunch of kids at Grevey's in Merrifield. It was clear those kids didn't mess with Ol' Doc. What he said was an order, not a request.

I'd love to join a TKP tailgate, but I'll be tailgating at Laser Tag at the NRV Super Bowl. My boy's birthday is that weekend and we're doing his birthday party before the Spring Game and then heading over to the stadium afterwords.

I support it under one condition, this is the only year this happens. There is no reason this should continue.

Hyperbole much?

Fans love the spring game, but its purpose is to actually gauge player performance and development in a simulated game environment. Televising it is great for displaced fans, but it also makes scouting that much easier. This way, we're forcing other ACC programs who want a look at what has been successfully installed to devote time, money and personnel to a scouting trip. It also guarantees any video recorded at the game will be of decidedly lower quality than what would be readily available with a streamed or televised game.

I doubt this becomes a recurring theme, but I completely support the decision not to televise or stream the game this year.

Yep, if anything he might have been seen by Michigan and other Big Ten schools earlier had they not been so focused on the satellite campus they were hosting halfway across the country in Norfolk, Charlotte, Atlanta, etc.....

Yes, but it is ridiculous in the sense that the fans who are 4 1/2 hours away cannot catch the spring game. The spring game is a showcase for the fans and not showing it in stream or tv is a travesty. Not like it's closed and the offense will show a whole lot of plays. Will be very vanilla.

I didn't say anyone was better and also said he may be the best option we have. Beamerball was flat out about being better at special teams than the other teams. Didn't always have to be the big plays, but we did create quite a few of those based on being better and playing more starters in that phase. You do realize to have a higher YPR would in theory be from having more "big plays", right? You act like those big plays from David Wilson don't factor into his average...

Umm few things, IMG Academy can still hold their camps and a kid from Detroit going to a school 47 minutes away doesn't seem like he needed to go to a camp at a smaller college nearby to get seen.

I was thinking that this would be one of the biggest Spring Game attendances we've had in a while. It's not televised and people will want to check out the new regime and offense. I'm excited and April 23 can't get here soon enough!
