we need to make sure that we start this from the get go against Charlottesville next round. I want to knock them back on their asses and never let them up. If they get 20%, I'll consider it a personal failure.

I'm horrible at these games. What am I missing? My tracker always looks like this.

Apparently we're looking to add another guard. Wonder who is on the way out, my hope is Devin Wilson, kid has zero offensive game.

I'm sure this appeals to a certain type of recruit but I cannot imagine whom, unless Bronco thinks Ronald Curry still has eligibility.

I think the guys who go to Duke, do so for the education/name. I still don't consider them a football school. At their best years and some of VTs worst, these are still double overtime last possession type games. There really aren't any Duke graduates of any note in the NFL. So it's just different really I don't consider this a recruiting failure I think the "school" part must be the determinant more than the football part. He could go anywhere to play football

He was my year and I was on the team with him. Was trying to get Patrick Estes the year before to come to the good guys also. Dosh ended up playing FB/LB/TE for ECU.

What will it take to return to that mindset?

1. The coaches have to remind these guys what they have failed to accomplish. That they are not at the pinnacle of the ACC now. That teams see us as a win on their schedule instead of an oh-shit game. Set expectations of effort and if a player doesn't live up to it, he is replaced until he earns it again. This has to be done in the right way, not to undermine the confidence of the players, but to light a fire.

2. We need better leadership on the team. We need it at every position group. Players need to hold one another accountable for their effort. The leader should be in the ear of the player before the coach has a chance for taking a rep off or half assing it.

VT played like that because they had something to prove. Through the late 2000s, we accomplished what they said we couldn't and it seems the fire cooled down. It is time to show we have something to prove again but the players have to buy into that off the field before we can see any of those results on the field.

.......yours doesn't normally look like that? I may be spending too much time on here

You know I'm spending way too much time here today when my tracker looks like this

Facyson was unreal in that NC State game. Looked like he did as a freshman. I hope he can return to that form.

Given Tech's recent subpar results for rehabilitating injuries

I hope Ben Hilgart's new strength and conditioning program will improve this.
