Or, perhaps, a Mook point?

Agreed. I would rather see Satch or Hamilton gone if someone was to transfer. We need one of those two guys to step up and develop their offensive game.
I still like the combos from 2003, despite how crappy that season was.
Wilson has been much more important than the stat sheet shows. Plays great defense and is usually the guy on the court that gets everything back under control when the younger guys start playing too fast or start jacking up bad shots.
That's not entirely true. One of our weaknesses is lack of a true 5 who can play offense. Leday is great at the 4, but he gets owned by true 6'10"+ centers.
I meant I was not sure how sarcastic I was being in light of the previous technique critique. The long version of what I was trying to communicate is - He had technique errors, including getting caught looking in, that caused him to give up space to the receivers, which makes it look like he lacked the speed to keep up with them, but he obviously has the speed to keep us evidenced by being able to make up the ground to make the play above.
That's true, and he's going to have to contend with bigger receivers for jump balls outside. Who knows? Maybe Bud will go back to some of his more exotic zone packages and make it a moot point.
We just have to take care of non-conference, and we will be in the dance. It would be nice to improve on 10-8 in conference, but that record will easily get us in if we win the games we should OOC.
Well, he is not in our backyard any longer, hasnt been for two seasons. He is up in Canada because the Canada Athlete Institute gave his sponsor a job. He also could be a complete detriment to the team atmosphere for how his recruiting is being handled by said sponsor. He definitely will be a one and done. The last aspect is that Buzz doesnt have any open scholarships for this season unless he forces someone else out because he already accepted Khadim Sy's NLI to replace Henry.
How the hell did no one notice this?!?!?
Give em a break, its only the 2nd day of Spring Football.. tomorrow I hear they're going to be playing kickball.
Iverson coming back to play football?
Fair points but I still recall Stroman struggled way more against bigger receivers compared to bigger slower tight ends. I could have that wrong since I'm just going off memory. Plus I think both Mook and Stroman are good tacklers.
I dunno, nickel requires getting in there with tight ends and coming up in run support against bigger guys. While FC does have some run/screen support responsibilities, I definitely want my smallest guys as far outside as possible.
and that's how much I focused on the reaction and not the actual play.....

I can't say for sure but it looks like they're playing on a 9' or 9.5' rim. That might be the most UVA thing ever - playing basketball during football practice on a hoop that's not even at regulation height
I would be much more comfortable with Mook at the field and Stroman at nickel
Our weakness isn't offense.
Florida skill position player with multiple P5 offers? Yeah, I'll take him.
It is personal failure and a BLATANT offense that it is even on here or being discussed. Away with them!
Interesting thought.
Given the level of research & image finding that these posts are likely to take, I wasn't anticipating going to that level of detail unless I stumble upon it. If that's part of the conversation people would like to contribute along the way, that would be great!
Props to JCC @ 4:35 for still being a team player.
Josh Bost is doing a tremendous job and that might be an understatement. Although working in the video department, this might be one of Fuente's best hires. The combination of Guerry and Bost has boosted our social media presence and is giving the fans and recruits so much more to experience.
