I think its a continuation of the problems from the last couple of years where middle distance, throws and pole vault was where the bulk of the points came from. There hasn't been any womens sprinters in the last couple of years. So you add that plus injuries and graduations and the points aren't there this year. There were no women's weight athletes this time and last year you had Sara killinen winning that.

I think track is hard too where some days your body just isn't cooperative and you might be a little bit slow which could be the difference between 1st and 10th.

Ben Thomas is a great coach. Cole Hocker wouldn't be here if he wasn't. It is frustrating though.

Pretty sure even if NC ST loses they have the 4 seed in most scenarios. They lost to Notre Dame and Clemson but beat the other 3 in the five currently tied behind the. If Hokies beat UVA then they drop out of the tie. Hokies beat Clemson and Syracuse. Lost to Notre Dame. Clemson is on the road at Stanford so could lose there. Notre Dame probably loses to Louisville. Syracuse plays BC so shouldnt lose.

I think the top three are Duke, Louisville and UNC. They will stay top three. No 4 is NC State. Unless they lose to 1-16 Pitt, they will stay number 4. That leaves 5 teams, VT, UVA, Syracuse, Clemson and Notre Dame fighting for five bye slots. 8 and 9 play each other; but the winner plays Duke. We really want the 5 seed to play probably NC State instead of UNC or Louisville.

Notre Dame is also at 11-6 in the 5-way tie. ND plays at Louisville on Sunday. No matter what all 5 get the first day bye.
VT is 3-1 against the other 4 with the loss being to ND.
