IIRC, we were the first ACC team in history to miss the tourney with 10 conference wins.
As much as I think we were screwed during Seth's tenure, I wonder if it really was a political thing with him and the committee. It is hard for me to process that much pettiness pervading enough of the committee to just automatically shaft VT because of it. Not saying that it didn't happen that way, and they do seem to not like us, but I speak from a fan's perspective. While I personally liked Seth, I realize from anecdotal information that he could be abrasive and dismissive or condescending. Is the committee truly biased, though? I know what we all think here on TKP, but do others not invested in the Hokies feel the same way?
It probably pisses him off too.
But you have to admit they play too ugly to watch, too.

The whole keeping one around thing does not work well for me with bourbon/whiskey. The right friend comes over and "try one of these" goes to empty bottle. Not that they don't return the favor, but not at $100 bottle.

I have an unopened bottle of Pappy Van Winkle 20 Year waiting in my liquor cabinet. I haven't quite figured out what constitutes a good reason to open it, but I'm sure I'll get curious one of these days.

The dude makes Mike Vick look like a professional at taking hits and has an uncanny ability to say the wrong thing at the wrong time. Overall super talented and generally a good guy. I hope he can have success but I wouldn't bet on it.

he packline defense from the Cavs won't matchup well against the deep shooting by the Hurricanes if Rodriguez, McClellan and Co. are shooting the lights out again.
I think this is the key to the loluva - Miami game. If Miami can consistently hit the deep 3-ball like they were last night, the pack line is not going to help. UVa will have to play outside their comfort zone, and that has to favor the 'Canes.
Another key factor will be the refs. They were very whistle-happy in our two games. I didn't watch any other ones, so I don't know that was exclusive to our games or if that's just how they're calling this whole tournament. In Miami's last 2 games vs us, they've been very aggressive and physical. If the refs don't swallow the whistles for this one and a couple guys get in foul trouble, Miami's lack of depth could really hurt them.
So I was cleaning off my desk today and I found a slip of paper where I predicted the VT outcomes of every game before we played Duke. I got every game right except vLouisville and @Wake. I had us a 10-8. I must have been feeling pretty good that day.
