City is creeping up on ya. As is west ham for that matter! Although we won this week which means the next game will be an embarrassing loss

We don't have a hyped up one-and-done player though.

Honestly, I think a win today would get people's attention. Miami is a solid 2-3 seed team. We still wouldn't get in without a couple of ACC tournament wins, but we would be able to enjoy being a part of the conversation on ESPN over the course of the week before the bracket is released.

Ohio Valley #1 seed Belmont goes down (in their hometown of Nashville) to #8 seed Austin Peay in overtime. So that's another spot gone.

Are we just going to completely overlook the fact that bae is the Danish word for poop??
EDIT: damn autocorrect

On the other hand, I consider the entire wahoo establishment a pile of bae, also Brogdon's opinion of our beloved Cassell amount to nothing more than bae.

It does bother me to see certain teams in bubble discussions that we're left out of. Like, if we compare ourselves with LSU. LSU has 9 losses vs teams who aren't making the dance and we have 2 (aside from the UL loss, who is obviously tourney quality). We're share 2 common opponents with LSU: Wake and NC State...we're 3-0, they're 0-2. We share similar records overall and I'd say 11-6 in the SEC vs 9-8 in the ACC is about a draw. They have 3 wins vs projected tournament teams, and so do we (including 1 vs UVA who might be a #1 seed).

But Lunardi has LSU on the bubble ("first four out", so right on the cusp) and we can barely sniff an at-large bid in the NIT by most projections. I think if LSU is squarely on the bubble, then a lot of teams (like VT) should be as well.

I think the rational thinking says that, in the end, their bigs just destroy us on the boards therefore giving them more "2nd chance opportunities". UM wins by simply being efficient, and I think that is a bad recipe for us.

However... last game... Hokies have been playing well... The team usually has a run in them during a big game like this... Who knows. I do think that if we don't actually play one of our big men, we have no chance of winning this game.

I'm a United fan, so I was delighted with Arsenal's last two results (especially Sunday's). I turned on the match right when Tottenham took a shot and Ospina saved it on the line and it went to the goal line decision. That was unbelievable. Kane had a hell of strike as well.

Nonetheless, how short is Wenger's leash right now? I know Arsenal fans don't like when it's put this way, but they should be winning the league in such a down year. Is this his final straw?

I think one of the cooler things about the TKP community is the discourse in the off topic threads. It's interesting to hear different points of view on a subject from folks who outside of Virginia Tech athletics may not have all that much in common.

PVI-Hokie dropped a solid thread focused on the discussion of TLOP and its merits / criticisms; the artist's work, not the artist himself.

Here's a hint, if kimye and his fans wouldn't make it so easy, I'd warrant there'd be much less wisecracks.

You added nothing to the dialog, except for being a dick to those who wanted to discuss TLOP. At the end of the day, that might make TKPers more reluctant to go off topic, which would be a damn shame.

Pro-tip: If you don't have anything to add to the specific conversation in a thread, then don't. It's really quite simple, and respectful.

Woke up early to cheer Arsenal on. Not sure why Coquelin is ever on the field since he goes to the ground way to often. Have to say though I was glad we got 1 point but would have been 3 if Wenger would put the right group on the field.

I agree they're easy to mock. But you're not mocking them. You're posting useless memes that add nothing to the discussion but instead indirectly down us for appreciating Kanye's music, all while we try to discuss this album.

It's obvious you don't like kanye or even rap but you're acting like a middle schooler who just learned what a meme was.

It takes one to one, I guess. But any rate it may surprise you to learn that I in fact do have a (small) selection kanye's tracts in my musical catalogue. While rap/hip hop is not my absolute fave genre, I still possess a substantial amount in my catalogue. Here's a hint, if kimye and his fans wouldn't make it so easy, I'd warrant there'd be much less wisecracks.

If we can play our game, and thwart their's, like we did in the first half of the last time we played them away, feed on the positive vibes of the Cassell, and do it for the entire game, it could be another VT nail biter win! Plus, if we can get more from Clarke than we did in the previous, that bodes well for us. I'm optimistic, especially if we get the rockin' crowd our team deserves - GO HOKIES!

Man, grow up or go to Reddit or something. It's obvious you don't like Kanye or even rap but you're acting like a middle schooler who just learned what a meme was.

Yeah, you would think. I'd take the smell of AG fields over burning, rotted-out couches anyday.

I upvoted this but the score is still at 0. Wow. Regardless, HightyTighty put this far more eloquently than I could but I will add that a discussion about Kanye's album simply doesn't warrant a barrage of Get off my lawn-esque posts about how much you hate Kanye. Just because you dislike him doesn't mean we can't. Anyone that listens to Kanye knows who he is and what he's done. We don't need to be reminded of it. It might sound conceited but it's just annoying have to filter through what sounds like my grandparents bitching about music posts to read what people think about an album.
