# | Buzz Williams On Cassell Coliseum Atmosphere and the Hokies' February Schedule Agreed, it's just not that big of a deal. And if we were slighted, we deserved to be. We were the least relevant team in the league coming into this year.
Considering Wake/VT and BC/VT are both on national TV this week, I tend to think we've been handled favorably in regards to scheduling and TV. With what I expect we will return next year, it could be even more so.
Would've preferred to shut him down for the year originally after the foot injury and then gamble that this team wins 1 in the acc tourney so he Clarke would've been eligible for a medical RS. Am I mistaken here to think this would've been the case had he not played again this year?
Do not get me started on fisheries management by the politicrats. Makes me want to smash people's knee caps with a cast iron frying pan and they all deserve it.

Any updates or rumors going around the basketball team? Is Buzz really listening to the supposed "calls" from interested teams? Would he really leave given the deep roots he's established here?
Office is nice and close tot he Silver line in Tysons.
Got another Hokie, a Cuse alum, a ND fan, and even a Gamecock that just likes shooty hoops, darn right we will be going to a few games one day or two as a "Company morale event"
I am afraid Daryl may be the one going down. I have had this feeling awhile now. He is movie onto movies and other TV shows.

# | Buzz Williams On Cassell Coliseum Atmosphere and the Hokies' February Schedule Respect is earned, not given. In recent years, we have been hands down the most irrelevant program in the conference. You don't get preferential treatment by annually coming in dead last, most nights being cannon fodder for the ones who matter.
Things are getting better, but we're still a far cry from being relevant in this conference. They're not going to do us any favors until those favors can pay off for the conference with a high NCAA seed.
While I think the Verizon Center and the surrounding location/attractions/amenities are an upgrade , it's definitely going to be strange not having the tourney in Greensboro. I went a few years ago with some friends after we got a good deal on ticket books, and we ended up having a great time even though Tech didn't make it past the first day. Had a nice hike to and from the coliseum having to walk over a mile to the nearest hotels (a motorcycle parked in the hallway in ours, plus continental breakfast with cereal but no milk), and definitely was hilarious watching a ton of the cars from the arena filter right into the strip club next door right after the late games. Was a blast talking to other ACC schools' fans and having numerous beer towers at Ham's. Nice easy drive through Roanoke down 220 to get there too. It will be interesting to see how things go in DC the next few years, but I think moving it to Brooklyn afterwards is a terrible move.

Keep in mind that AMC has now green lit Norman Reedus (Plays Daryl) on a new show where he goes on long motorcycle rides with other celebrities. Just something to chew on.

# | Buzz Williams On Cassell Coliseum Atmosphere and the Hokies' February Schedule At some point though the ACC has to schedule games and play ball. If we have a longer break than everyone else than thats what the conference is likely going to point to although only one of the home games in question came during that extra week. Not all schools spring breaks are that early either, many come after basketball is in tournament play so that again is a school issue.
Reality is that conference play starts at the beginning of January every year, slightly scheduled around the final couple college football games but its a pretty consistent start period every year. They cant push that back because the schedule runs right up to the conference tournament and then the NCAA tournament. There is no give there. The only way they could work around this is to change the format entirely and go away from the OOC slate to start and then all conference. You would have to start conference play and OOC at the same time and work them in which could prove to be a nightmare to get the necessary OOC games.
This year, Tech started conference play with 3 home games and 3 away games. I imagine if I go look there will be at least three other teams in conference that started with three of four at home to start the year considering how the end of the year schedule went. I am just not seeing the slight here that many others seem to see. The only real game that bugs me is the UVA home game when the students werent on campus. That should be a no brainer but it also depends on who the conference is scheduling as our rival game.
Is there a bad stretch of games in February, sure but thats bound to happen sometime during an 18 game stretch for everyone. Its never going to work out Home, Away, Home, Away, Home, Away.
Honestly, this is how I found out the tournament is in DC this year. No such thing as bad publicity?
Then by that logic you have to factor in Denny's injuries as a factor to why he hasn't done as well. Get off of Gano's insignificant "accomplishments".
Hmm, so you're saying the starting five should be Allen, Robinson, LeDay, Hudson and Clarke (injury willing).....?
Are only lottery and Hokie Club members finding out their seats? Anyone who went through the public sale back in October find out their seats?

Yet you proceed to list all of these statistics. And (unfortunately) the majority of the statistics, records AND numbers (including the rookie season finish) swing Hamlin's way. That was a pretty feeble attempt play up the whole 2013 - Present. If "what has happened recently is what REALLY matters", then as of 2016, Denny is well ahead of the boy who's rich daddy bought him in.
